It would result wasted coding work, wasted bandwidth, wasted cpu recources and some lost nerves, but hardly any positive effects.
Imo it serves it's purpose (which is.. saying "thank you" or "screw you" when passing by?) well like it is now, but I wouldn't mind if it was louder either...

I've always been a fan of racing games, but yet LFS has had the biggest influence on my interest in motorsports. Gaining knowledge of vehicle dynamics and racecraft for example has made watching motorsports a lot more interesting.
It's a shame that commentators (in here at least) do not pay attention to these aspects at all, so where could I have got the knowledge then? For example, there is no finnish word for "apex", and I can't recall F1 commentators ever even trying to talk about it.

The way I think it... On public roads you are always responsible if you rear-end someone. But doing a stupid maneuver (ie. slam on the breaks in the middle of a straight road) especially in bad conditions is also illegal and results a penalty.
It's even in FIA safety car rules..

I still don't understand this antithesis, but Bathurst is the only V8 race I follow every year. Too bad I have no chance to watch it live, so I have to be careful not to be spoiled
Some of them are very nice! Your 3D objects look very nice, but the low-res skin kills the immersion.
Of course fern bay hass less grip than aston, but I think Scottie means that the grip on one track is always the same.
Wind can really have a big effect on lap times and that's probably the case here.

If we have rain (by the forecast looks like it's possible), it can be a good race once again.
But if we don't...There has been so much hassle lately, that I believe we don't see a FIAsco this time. So we only have to watch last laps of Q3, first 5 corners of the race and pit stops, like usually.
I hope that Lewis takes the title, so we can turn our heads towards 2008.

Why do we have to discuss this now? IIRC, the devs have already said that IF this is opened for modding, it happens AFTER the final release, which is, even by the most optimistic guesses, years away.
