Would be nice, I like the cars in GTL but they can be a bit annoying.

There is this thread already - http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1917

I use 10 - 20% with my DFP and that feels stronger than my actual car.

Go into OPTIONS > CONTROLS and either change what key/button you're using or for left and right or if you have a wheel go into AXIS/FF and change the settings there.

If you stay untill you get the last stay you'll never leave.

You seem to know how people are here and yet you still made this thread and are surprised at the reaction, which is the same as everyone else who has made this kind of thread. If you/they just wanted to say bye to the nice ones there is PM for that.

No one is attacking you, you said you're leaving and people said good bye. People are replying to what you say, the more you reply the worse this will get.

You are not in a winning position here, even if it is locked.

It's easy lerts, you stop posting and leave like you said. This thread doesn't need to be locked in order for you to leave, you just stop posting.

Like a few people have said, start a blog for your thoughts and all the shit you get from people will stop, unless you allow people to comment on them.

If you keep posting people will keep replying and like I said before, people will just move onto something else and forget.

Quote from lerts :well my experience in il2 forums is great here is discusting so is not me, i cant be the only one, guess where my money will go

enjoy your dictatorship with no freedom of speech im out

and lock this ****king thread so i can leave for once not to come back

It is you, it's not a dictatorship here and there is freedom of speech, which swings both ways. You post something, someone else posts something back weather is nasty of nice.

You created this thread, your freedom of speech and people are replying to it, their freedom of speech and now you want it locked...who's the freedom of speech stomper now?

Like everything else you've ever posted, your logic is flawed.

Bye lerts.

Quote from lerts :another reason im leaving( as i said i stay in il2 1946 forum though i dont play the game)is that this palce is so unfriendly, devs should consider how many customers they are losing for the rudeness of many people in this forum, ill buy anything from maddox due to their treating me so well in their place, in their place all times i got insulted a mod warned or handle vacations , here its me who gets banned when the others insult me(majority decides)

There have only been, say, 3 people who caused as much friction as you (although not quite as much).

You, harjun and faster, all tended to do the same thing, post rubbish (spam), repost the same rubbish, ignore any and all advice/counter arguments given, give out advice that was either badly repeated from someone else or just plan wrong and unhelpful, pretend to ask and question but were really just showing off in some way, be totally and utterly bemused by peoples reaction to them and blame others, were massively arrogant at times and lie.

I'm not saying you did them all but you've done a few. Now you, like them, you have a certain reputation so when people see your posts 90% of the time they're already thinking, "here we go again", before they've even read what it is you've said.

You can be you, obviously, but there are certain rules and limits on every forum and forums for other things. Most of the stuff you posted, your theories, were really not for this place, even in the off topic section they were just waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic and they were either not based in logic or fact and normally flew against all evidence which will clearly get a strong reaction from people. I'm sure you have experienced the same thing on many forums.

You need a blog to get your thoughts down and come here for LFS related stuff, simple.

p.s. the reaction you are getting is the same reaction that 99% of the people who post a "I'm leaving thread" get. If you come back, don't do a "I'm back" thread.

Quote from lerts :so its just im changing game and i didnt like people think i died or something and i see no point in keep posting not playing the game cause what would i talk about without getting banned

No offence but I really don't think people care that much, I know things get intense at times but when people leave that’s kind of it. I've been in arguments with people and it seems like that’s all that matters but then whey they're gone or banned after a few hours/days it's just forgot.

You can just go and play gtr evo, you don't need to cut off ties to tell everyone you're leaving. You can go and come back to a game or forum any time you like and you don't get the, "I'm glad you're leaving", "no one cares" posts that you're going to get/got.
garph

....so you tried gtr evo (which I have as well) and that's enough for you to feel the need to tell everyone you'll never play LFS again?

Wouldn't it just be better to play gtr evo and that's it (not make this post).

Never really understood the need to make a grand statements about leaving and saying you'll never play again....a game...that you'll probably play again....cause it's a game

Quote from dan926 :ok thank you.
should the one from comet run LFS without major fps pronlems in big grids if i was to go for that computer

No one can say for sure, unless they have that PC...and play LFS.

There really isn't enough detail in there to say, but, I would imagine that you'd have to run medium...ish settings (no AA or AF) and there is a good chance you'd get low FPS issues on full grids.

Oh.

That really doesn't tell you much at all Never brought a ready built Pc, thought that they would give more detailed info.

I've no doubt it will run LFS but not that great and have trouble with higher grid numbers.

There is more that goes into it than that. Post the rest of the PC spec.

My Intel e6750 is 2.6Ghz and it runs LFS just fine but then there's the RAM, graphics card, etc...etc.

Quote from RIP2004 :I am sorry that I am no bootlicker who always says "Yes, and Great ... and we always had what we wanted ...".
For people who are never dissapointed and always happy with everything nothing has to be developed anymore and with this show off of dedication and love to LFS (everything doesn't matter, everything fine, get yourself 10 years for next patch) I would be really sorry for LFS.

It is just not right to keep people waiting for something that won't happen

Bootlicker, fanboy...that's the first things people turn to. I'm frustrated with the speed of development and certain bugs that are still but you can bitch and moan, point fingers and shout all you want cause it will get you exactly no where.

When the man comes to the forum and explains why things have not happened why do some feel the need to have a go and whine about things that, in their minds, have been promised to them.

The development speed of LFS will not change, you or me stomping our feet and whining about it like a little pig tailed 6 year old girl whose just dropped her ice cream on the floor before she's even taken a lick on the hottest day of the year, just as the ice cream man has no more left will not change anything.

Quote from Klouczech :Yeah! Nice to hear that you are happy. But Im not. Im not interested in your personal problem. You could say only: Sorry , new patch will be in 30 days.

Or he could have said nothing all, nice compassion for the person that brought you LFS, god damn.

Quote from ACCAkut :hmm, big writeup, but for me thats not really a reason to "stop" working for over a month (at least thats what it sounds like). Everyone has to go through something like this, my family had no inet and phone for three weeks because of Arcors inability and we had to keep everything going anyway, and i had to manage setting everything up in the new appartement while starting university. Its not a big deal, but thats just how I think about it.

So selling, packing up an entire family house with years worth of belongings then moving it all to a new house and unpacking it all again, then having no broadband connection and having to go through all the red tape that comes with two large ISP's is not enough of a reason to not having enough time to sort out with LFS? And even through all that he has still managed to send out various bits and peices for the beta testers and the test patches here!

I don't think you can compare all that to you moving into a uni flat.

No offense but you're both talking total and utter bollocks.

This guy seems to be doing kinda the same thing you are - http://forums.anandtech.com/me ... d=28&threadid=2268793

Asking people is always a good idea, BUT, always read reviews of what you're looking at and try and see some comparison tests. That way you get everyone’s input but you also gain some knowledge and make a much better personal decision which will always help you more than just blindly taking peoples advice....which is bad, mmmkay.

p.s. s14 drift. If those AMD's (and consequently my e6750) are unusable in 6 months I'll suck your balls.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Dadge it's called consideration for the future. What is the point in spending £80 now on a CPU only to find in 6 months it won't even run the most 'basic' of the next-gen software..

That’s not even remotely going to happen, things don't move that fast, and if they did it means I'm ****ed as well because my e6750 just about matches the AMD 6400+.

Quote from NikLaw :2.7 Ghz isn´t that much for an AMD single core, but Intel´s 3 Ghz are enough for single core operations. If you don´t want to overclock, go for the E8400, if you want to overclock get a E5200.

2.7Ghz isn't that much?

I was using an older AMD4200+ socket 939 (2.2Ghz) on Crysis and then upgraded to a Intel e6750 2.6Ghz, kept the same graphics card and it made no difference at all in FPS.

The OP does not cash for a new motherboard to go Intel so it can ONLY be AMD.

Looking at LFS and more 2.7Ghz will be more than enough, graphics cards are maxing out way before CPU's.

I agree, everything he wants seems to be at odds with each other, power but fuel economy, cheap but expensive, fast but cheap to insure.

Plus I'm not sure you even really understand what car would be better (faster).

You need a small engine size (1, 1.1 or 1.2) small car, it will give you everything you want.

Quote from dean23 :THANK YOU VERY MUCH

.....yeah, you seem to have missed the point on that one.

The internet has things called search engines, they allow you to find lots and lots of information like web pages, your starwars name, pictures of monkeys that kind of thing.

Next time you're looking for something, try one of them. All you have to do is type in what you're looking for and boom, it give you a list of matches, they're super like that.

Good luck.

Quote from lerts :ill be honest though ill be called an idiot

i used to play f1 and brake with a button in the wheel

i was all relaxed driving in rl and on a long no problem straight i found myself searching for a button in the whhel to brake

i recall a guy saying he even tried to press a button to talk with his real pasanger

its just a matter of habits and dont aviation pilots learn with simulation as real as this one

for example thats another reason why i block my wheels with full travel brake pedal to have good habits in rl learn from this simulation

Stop either driving in real life or playing racing simulators as you are very real danger on the roads if you really cannot differentiate a driving game and real life.

I have no problem telling the difference between LFS (DFP 2 pedals. Throttle, right foot and brake left foot) and real life (throttle and brake right foot and clutch left). I have never even when really relaxed got confused between the 2.

Like sinbad said, your logic is flawed (like always) and I'm glad you don't endanger my life by being anywhere near me when driving in real life looking for the brake button on your real life car.
