the thing that turn me of ovals (in LFS) really had nothing to do with the track, now before i say this i dont want a linch mob after me...

i keep a pretty close eye on whats new in the gaming world, and they seem to make em by the boat load these days, i have a wordrobe FILLED with games, but i only play on what 4??? on a regular basis, so what is it?? whats the differnce between LFS and the other boat load i have..
i was just reading some reviews on LFS and although it was getting some grate reviews and remarks, the bad things they had to say i actualy like about LFS..
the devs have done somthing that 999.9% of dev's/pubs refuse to do and that is give the player quality CONTENT!...
GRAFIX..... maybe one of the biggest selling points in todays gaming industry, imo its a sutch a shame, is LFS cutting edge?? by no means! is it ugly/outdated imo again by no means, the devs hit it PERFECT!, this meansthe game gets more people able to run the game, everyone is expected to run alienware pc's these days just to run tetrus

one of the things mentioned in most reviews was the menu's/layout in LFS, call me nuts but i LIKE IT! most games these days have stupidly fancy menu's were some programer has spent weeks and IM PAYING FOR THAT, now all thats fine the first time you open up the game (this goes for grafix too), but after a day playing it means NOTHING!, ill admit when i first fired up and saw the menu's in LFS i thought "hhmm bit plain" but to be honest i wanted to grab a car and go for spin, not marvel at a awsome menu comfiguration... i spend milliseconds in that part of LFS...
what im saying is the above means nothing after 3x of starting the game, i understand some people like top notch grafix, but these games are constantly pushing what's possible, thats grate but 9x out of ten there very unstable, and thats ALL they are grafix...
i have tons of games that have insane grafix but i dont play em, to the masses grafix is the kiddie! but we simer's are a special breed and LFS is at the forefront imo..
i open up LFS now and i can picture the devs saying "yea i know its not the prettest but come through here see where we HAVE spent the time", considering LFS is still not finnished we still have one of if not THE BEST! technical simulation model out there, tires/suspension downforce, you name it its cutting edge, stuff missing yea we know there is but i sit here now KNOWING that the devs are spending the time on the things that count, upgrading the tire moddel the aero model, adding this feature ading that feature, and not spending MONTHS on killer grafix updates and menu re-shuffles...
when a patch is released we GET SOMETHING! sometimes thats small somtimes big, but the word "patch" to most game devs out there means "to fix what we stuffed up in begining" yes we have had a few of these here, but VERY few and far between, these mutli million£/$ outfits knock out games with no sound and you just shelled out 50 quid! well all those millions sure aint gone to quality control has it???
when S3 hitts we will probably have updated grafix and god knows what else BUT it will still have the awsome content AND those grafix wont kill everyones PC's ....
so to cap it all off i love LFS becasue for once the some devs decided to put there time and effort into CONTENT, not flashy this and blinging that, plus it works sollid, they worked on what counts, and thats WHAT COUNTS FOR ME...

hehehe yup gota love the final turn one of my favourites in LFS....
as for the brakes!
im not so mutch talking about how mutch you apply, we all driver different and drive different setups..
what im trying to say is TO ME it seemed like a life time from comming off the gas and applying brakes and down shifting, as i say this MAY be lag but even with lag it seemed a little drawn out...

ok took a look....
first few laps your lines are all over the place duno if was just you getting settled or what because last 2/3 laps ya lines wasnt that bad..
by watching that i think get a few problems sorted out you could be quite fastbut there are few things that stick like a sore thumb though, get this sorted you times will drop a LOT...
1. im falling to sleep when you start comming off the throttle for a turn, watch that again and see how long you coast!!!, you come off the throttle and do nothing for a good second then apply breaks and turn in, it all need to be speeded up a lot, off the throttle strait onto the break and start kicking down the gears this will slow you down MUTCH quicker shortening your breaking point plus the car will be more settled going into the turn in phase, you seem to have your foot hovering in mid air for what seems a iternaty, slow that sucker down!!...
2. near every lap in T1 you excelerate after making the turn (nothing wrong there mabe a bit sooner but that wll come) then you change into 4th gear VERY quicky, your loosing tons of time here that small chicane after 2 will make a good lap or a bad lap, and your loosing weeks in there, dont change so soon the engine is taking ages to puck back up those revs you just killed by changing to early, try changing just before the 1st apex in the chicane..
3. again chicane after t1, way to mutch lock used, your line is not great through there, remember the more you turn the wheel the more speed you scrub off and the time lost there you will carry all down that strait, find the line with as little turn as possible get that right its near enough strait though just 2 little KICKS...
4.final turn your drove me insane!!!! lol, your line was pretty nice through there on most laps but you keep comming off the throttle!!!,
watching ya line through there and how the car takes it you SHOULD be full throttle there easy, again another big turn as regards lap time, just nail it your line is good and so is the car so dont come off the gas!!.....
there are a few others but imo those are the main things, your not full throttle on some of the places you should be but that comes..
but for the love of god speed up the breaking procces
i dont mean flick down the gears like a nutcase but your slowing down WAY to slow, i dont even know how you get those times by doing that lol..
last tip... if you post a replay again as regards to ya driving post a SPR not MPR as its hard to judge what lag and whats driver!

not sure i agree with why LFB works and its conection to setups, but i do agree brake balance in LFS is way to forward biased, this causes untold problems with front tires, but we have the best team working on this game so i have no dout it will be sorted one day

i partly agree with you on hamilton, its all paned out very well for him, and lets face it MOST drivers that come into F1 have to prove there worth first in the other slower teams e.g spiker as you said, that i agree with... i also agree that there are a lot of other good NEW drivers come onto the scene vitel included... would they have done as well as hamilton or better maybe???? iiiim not so sure, and nothing sarcastic there just my opinion, am i saying in comming years one of these said drivers wont be in the title race with hamilton, no way there are a few new drivers that for me are showing awsome promise, best year in many seasons for new tallent (forget the whole hamilton sarga in that remark)..
and yes vitel is doing grate and i also think kubica has done a awsome job this season, but your remark "whilst hamiliton is crashing out in a good one" is imo a bit far fetched.. i admit i think he was not as composed in the final race as he should have been and the pressure got to him, but geeeez loosing the WC by 1 point in his rookie year and beating the WC alonso is IMO not crashing out...

agreed!... i also remember sometime last year how he was harping on that NO ONE had helped in his racing carrier, he had done it all himself and how hard it was and all that BULL!.. racing/karting isnt somthing you can do on your own, you need finantial backing of some kind more so as a kid in karting, plus all the rest of the stuff.. travel and all that, when he said that in a interview i must admit my opinion on alonso dropped and hasent stopped dropping ever since...
everyone else in F! has someone to thank, you dont end up in F1 while doing it ALONE, i thought that was very selfish...

Now KIMI!! knows how to play the media, just watch him, he's an artist, you have never heard kimi complain about his team/tmate he does it all behind doors, i think hamilton will learn a lot from this season...

put it this way if i was a f1 driver in a team that i REALLY did think was playing games and tampering with my car, i would be over the moon that the FIA had heard my cries and sent in a guy to make sure nothing was being done underhanded to jepadise my WC....
alonso dont have the pace one week, mclarean are tampering with his car, tire pressures low, made him peddle round... the week we have a scruitineer in the mclarean gararge we have a different view from alonso...

On the podium in brazil he had just missed out on his 3 title and he was pretty happy why?? because he didnt mind loosing it to kimi but he was dreading the day he had to stand infront of a tv camara and "congratulate" this kid team mate in his rookie season for beating the him the WC who is driving the same car!!,
i can understand that in a way its the way sportsmen are but no need for all that this season, alonso could have had 2000 point and himilton only 1 but hamilton shown him up this season , and not on the track either, IN THE MEDIA and alonso has noone to blame but himself this season, shame cus he's one hell of a driver when he does what he is best at and thats NOT spinning yarns LOL

dont think there's anymore to add, things just happen faster and a bit more savage, but as said above you carnt get a easyier car to drive/race, the thing goes round on rails, thats why i like the FV8 still better than F1 car..... in the S-S class cars though if you dont catch it in time your going off or gona spin, with the other cars i find you can leave a imanant slide for what seems weeks and still be able to correct it but i only drive S-S cars, so its probably just me
