you might want to try a lower setting, as the default value was changed to 256 in one of the U test patches, so that is the default setting in V and W now.
i'll likely bring down the wrath of all the british for this...but i didn't see what is so great about alan partridge (based off the lexi clip). he really just seemed...annoying. kind of like a bad SNL skit (is that redundant?). but maybe it was just that one clip and the rest of his stuff is better
and i still think that porsche unleashed was the best NFS game to date.
and to the person asking about a demo, if you have a xbox 360, you can d/l a demo that limits you to 1hr of play time per session and 3 cars and one motorcyle.
i use teamspeak, because it came with my LFS server (500servers...i ordered months ago, when TS was part of the package. not sure it it still is), so there was nothing to setup on my end for the TS server (making it infinitly easy to use. install client, type in ip address in quick connect and start chatting. no muss, no fuss. never tried ventrillo, so i can't comment on it.
i haven't played it on the PC, but on the 360, it kinda sucks...bad. I got the demo of it, and all three of the cars in the demo understeer really bad. the motorcycle actually unsteered pretty badly too, but the fact that you could adjust your positioning on the bike and do wheelies and nose stands made the bike fun to drive regardless.
overall, i'd give it a rent/demo to see if you actually like it. i deleted the demo once the novelty wore off.
yup. if their countries go to shit, then our oil prices go up. that is the reason, and the only reason that the US cares about what's going on in taht area of the world. if there wasn't oil there, i'd bet money that the US wouldn't be either. sounds shallow. and it is. but that's the way this gov't thinks and works. some of us here are trying to get this changed...we are just out voted by idiots.
of course it didn't show up. that's something new for vista.
found this in the installation instructions...
from looking at the screenshoot in the first post, it looks like MTA was not installed in the same directory as GTA san adreas. re-install it in the correct directory.
because they are the ones that came up with the policy, and they aren't going to exclude themselves. sounds like a ridiculous answer, but sadly, i think that's pretty accurate.
the whole "world police" business seems to me to be a surviving ideology from the cold war where if a country wasn't with us, they were communist. so the US started making other country's politics its business. this estabilished the foundation for where the US is today.
now, the country has reached a time where the religious conservatives have gathered a larger portion of the gov't by doing what politicans do to get elected...lie to their constituents.
and now that these holier-than-thou types are in positions of power in the gov't, they see it as their "responsibility" to enforce their morality on the rest of the world, which doesn't work.
there needs to be a change in the mentality of the gov't and the US public that there is more than one religion, and that christianity is the only "right" way to believe. and we have to stop electing political leaders that are completely ignorant of this concept. we aren't the world police, and we should stop trying to assert ourselves globaly as such.
it's not a replica. it was one of the executive producer's personal cars. he offered it up to get a "more realistic looking crash". and the sad part is, it looks fake because of the way they launch it and then spin it around with the cable.
