Looks like driver B didn't even look at his mirrors and turned right into the XFG at the corner, when the xfg was a bit ahead of the xrg.

I really don't think LFS should ever be open for modding. There is a 99% chance that it will fall apart like rFactor and end up with hardly any players. We couldn't have a feature like in Garry's Mod that downloads maps and tools as you join a server (cars and tracks in LFS's case) because cars and tracks are generally much larger than what you would see in other games (Gmod maps are relatively small, with the biggest ones being around 30 mb). I would expect to see decent LFS mods going around at ~100-500 mb. The biggest and most annoying mod I have ever downloaded was the NROS NASCAR mod for rFactor. The entire package came to be about 1.3 gigs and i had do download all the tracks and updates seperately. People wouldnt want to waste their time doing that just to race on a server wouldn't they?

To add to what Gunn said, you can drift the FXR somewhat easily, i dont know about the XRR, but im telling you right here that the FZR is the last car you want to get sideways.

Wow, this has turned into a flame war already...

I have a hotkey that says "Leaving pits, pass left/right" (depending on which side of the track the pit exit is on.) This helps other racers on the track so they are prepared to pass a slow car safely. This especially helps on the oval servers as the cars are on the gas nonstop.

Maybe this thread should be closed before the flames turn up.

Yes, and its sad to hear that Nemecheck and Marlin lost their rides. Marlin was planning on a 15-20 race schedule next year, but nothing midseason like this.

Before you get the idea, no, I am not an oval basher, I race on oval servers quite often. What does confuse me is why LFS players call any racing on the oval NASCAR. For those of you that don't know, NASCAR is not the only oval racing league in the world guys! Wake up! There are racing series like CASCAR, Arca ReMAX, Hooters Pro Cup, and many more. Also, none of the cars in LFS resemble a stock car configuration. Most of the time, you are likely to be behind the wheel of a GTR car, F08, or the BF1. Hard to say any of those are NASCAR stock cars.

This has been suggested quite a lot, but, a fuel light would be helpful. Normally in road cars, the fuel lights comes on ~20-25 miles before you run out.

Great idea, its quite annoying when some idiot votes to restart in the middle of a good race and BOOM! RESTART! If im doing good in a race and it happens, i just flat out lose my concentration, often leading to increased mistakes at the cost of me and sometimes other racers.

I was in the XFG with the Shell skin (red and white car near the left of screen) I slammed my brakes to try to avoid it but it wasnt enough. Piled right into the black XRG.
