LOL good times Back when I was attempting to skate, everyone rode fishtail boards, wore those huge Vision Street Wear shirts and Christian Slater made kickass films like Gleaming The Cube and Pump Up The Volume
SICK.
Used to skate a lot with my friends ages ago. We all sucked at tricks but had great fun using our boards like street luges and finding stupid hills to race down, or exploring the local drainage system with them. Not dangerous at all really :zombie: It's all about bikes for me these days though - being able to go up hills is invaluable
Hey, nice bass indeed! The players in both my bands play Jazzes and they sound gorgeous, as you probably know by now. I'll ask them and get back to ya. As it happens, both guys are named Lachlan, freakishly tall and prodigious drinkers. Hmmm..
edit: one of them just IM'd me. Seems a Jazz is about 1.75 inches thick. I'd be interested to see some pics of your project if you take any.
Leave Jakg alone My white bits were meant to be seen, so as to ward off the kind of "take it literally, take offense, take it too far" idiots that this forum seems to attract in shovels =D
Peter Jackson's first feature Bad Taste. Made for about 50 bucks (and looks it), the hero's brains keep almost falling out and he has to scull blue vomit. Pure gold  Brain Dead follows in a similar vein - there's an awesome, quintessentially Antipodean scene where a lawnmower is used against zombies the same way a chainsaw traditionally is
Easy: "what do you get if you multiply six by nine?" I'm well aware, dear readers, that that answer is mathematically wrong, however if you'd read Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy you wouldn't be sitting there with a sodding calculator working it out, you ignorant bastards =]
I don't care what people do, but it sure seems that "cruise" is fast becoming a dirty word around here and any thread that mentions it turns quickly into flamebait more often than not. Give people a break, it's their license and their time. If they'd rather [whatever it is you do on cruise servers] than race, it's their 24 pounds. Why even give a shit?
Not helping, totally prejudiced and completely hypocritical. Not to mention that irrelevant "demo user" rant. Dmwright's not a demo user and neither's anyone else who's replied to this thread so far, so at least try and keep your trolling on topic.
Just because someone, utterly subjectively and selfishly, thinks a new toy will make them happy it doesn't immediately make it a valid request.
The validity of any request is proportional to the probability that its fulfilment won't adversely affect the fulfilment of any other valid requests (think about that next time you're praying to some sky-god ). In other words, if you ask for a new track you should think about the time and effort it would take to create that track, then weigh that against the repeated and numerous requests for things many people find more important such as better aero, better tyre modelling, improved physics (and every other sodding thing in the Improvement Suggestions Log sticky which noone ever reads).
For the record, a stable of new cars and a continent of new tracks wouldn't please me as there are so many aspects of LFS's core, the actual driving, that need to be addressed before I could enjoy those things fully. But if the devs decide other things are more important (like SUVS :vomit I'll have to wait and deal with it. I won't sulk that my valid request has been ignored.
Well, to be honest I haven't seen it either. I was just assuming that, at least by comparison, parts of TD were in fact better (or "less crap", if you like) than other parts. It's a rare, rare film indeed that can maintain a certain level of CRAP from start to finish (Attack Of The Clones, I'm looking in your direction).
Of course, perhaps if you'd asked which style is fastest, hands down, you might've received more mixed poll results. In some circumstances rough (or rougher than normal) inputs can gain you extra tenths or grid spots (search youtube for Senna's 1991 Pole lap at Adelaide, for example - although it must be said he tended to drive like that most of the time ) but whether roughness will work for you over a full-length race will depend a lot on how well you can look after your car (especially if you've thrashed it and the tyres are going), your setup, your skill level compared to your opponents (if you're Senna, it works pretty well), the weather, the gods, the giant squid in the pool under the S/F line...
