Dunno if it's the fastest of them, but sure goes quickly around the Ring
I feel the same as Bob, the LX8 would be just too hard to control without wings, and wouldn't fit any of the existing classes with or without the wings. It could've been in a class of it's own, but I don't think it would've been a car to enjoy driving around.

Reason : added filename for those who could've had hard time finding it otherwise
There was supposed to be just one LX8, the LX8 GTR which would've had slicks.
EDIT: I don't really care that we didn't get the LX8 GTR, I just don't fancy having an "openwheel" car in the same class as some others. Trackdays with roadcars, that's different. But proper racing.. No. IRL there would be safety issues, not just because of the lighter and more fragile construction of these Caterham type of cars but also the resulting performance differences between them and big cars.

Reason : does someone actually read the reasons?
I haven't raced the TBO class that much since S2 alpha, but here's what I think:
Less power / lower grip / lower cornering speeds don't necessarily mean closer racing. Sure you have more time to react and plan your moves, but because of that also the possibility to make a mistake is smaller than with faster cars. If you make a mistake you have a lot of catching up to do since exit speeds mean more. I'd say if you have a close race or not depends not on the choice of cars but the skills of your opponents - if they're as fast and smart as you then there's gonna be close racing whatever the cars are.
To me part of the fun is indeed the fast reactions and decisions you have to do when racing the big GTRs. It seems that either other people feel the same way or they just join the servers that have many players racing.
Vrooom got a permanent ban quite some time ago, after a few shorter bans and a bunch of warnings. Permanent does indeed mean permanent, the ban wont be cleared when someone's hostmask changes.
I agree that IRC, due to it's nature, is offtopic most of the time. People who don't discuss LfS have no place on the channel though. #liveforspeed for LfS talk, some other channel for something else. That's my opinion, you can't argue that. What you can argue is if the whole channel should go unmoderated, only acting on severe GameSurge policy violations. But that's out of my hands.
Couldn't there already be a 3rd party software made for this? I mean, if you have a .col file named HCC1 your AI driver will use that one.
So, the software could check the drv folder for AI names (and let you choose the ones you're currently using), and then rename (or even make) a set of .col files respectively.
Or did I just type something you already knew and missed the point completely
The only thing is, having 12 .col files for each car would make a mess of the list of colors in garage, if there'd be a way to hide the AI-colors from the list it'd be cool!
I don't remember seeing anything official about it, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Hearing about it isn't official, remember! Rumors, wishes and thoughts tend to become facts when circulated amongst a community long enough
IRC channels don't work that way. Nothing on Internet does. Some people are (and will be) banned, some of the bans will be permanent if they neglect warnings.

Reason : beep beep (again)
Like I said on the server, this was by far the weirdest S2 race I've had so far.
Team Killit Bang had 2 stop&go penalties, I had a puncture braking into the "eau rouge" and flew over the tyres there, rolled the car once etc.. And Hoe had his share of action when crashing to walls a few times.
A disconnect, one unfortunate fuel bug victim...
I should've practiced more for this race But it was still lots of fun, like the whole season. Thanks for racing and thanks for organizing the whole thing!
Since the automatic skin download feature has been introduced there's less need for a skin manager. If you want to search for a skin you've seen used by someone when racing online, just view the skins_x folder with a program like IrfanView.
Being able to view and download all the skins that are uploaded to LFSW would waste bandwidth, since you're going to automatically get the skins you need whenever you go racing online
BTW, I delete all the skins inside skins_x folder every once in a while to save disk space, since I'm always gonna get the skins people use when I go racing
Unfortunately I don't have DVD's about japanese drag racing, I guess the engines there are different. Normally running against the limiter isn't smart if you're seeking the highest performance possible since a rev limiter cuts fuel and/or spark and because of that the power output tends to decrease. Rev limiters are there to 1) protect the engine 2) limit revs temporarily to a certain level so ie full throttle can be used 3) limit speed.
But since I haven't seen jap drag videos I have no idea what I'm talking about
