You can still use that kind of rev limiter even if you have electric throttle control. I'd even think using a limiter that cuts fuel and/or spark would be more accurate than throttle limiting. Anyways, my point was that the way the limiter is done in LFS, using a limiter wouldn't result in snap / crackle / pop in real life either.
Correct. When you have 'show pedals' on, you can see LFS automatically limits the throttle when close to the speed limit (and the limiter on of course).
In real life a limiter like that wont make the car sound any different than when you're just cruising, using little throttle. I don't know if a throttle limiter is realistic or not - I'd assume it needs a drive-by-wire system - SuperGT (former JGTC, the series the big GTRs are supposed to resemble) rules require a mechanical throttle linkage
The cameras aren't unreal. Having ghost cars is. Having a camera in your car doesn't result in a seethrough car hovering over the track when you're driving.
Anyways, we already have analyzing tools that someone would have IRL = replays & raf telemetry output. I can understand adding something unrealistic when a realistic mean of achieving something just isn't possible. If there'd be no telemetry, no replays... then I guess a ghost car could be in order. If it'd be like that then the whole LFS community could be completely different
IMO all the driving online should be done by humans. If you're in a team and your teammate doesn't show up, that's his fault (don't race with him the next time etc)
Toilet breaks.. hmm. Take your PC closer to the toilet before endurance races so you can pee during a pitstop (a short run), or get one of these:
You might be on to something here. It seems that the engine internals would be very light (something I'd understand with the racecars), and that definitely would cause some tricky handling like the driving wheels locking up when lifting off. And add to that the (oh so often used) fact that we can't feel what the car is doing.
I have to say, I think it isn't smart to call people ****s even if they were wrecking in some other race. No way you're getting a better response from them that way.
And what would stop the wreckers not to register again when their first username would be banned on most of the servers? Good idea but needs something more
By accepting the license agreement they have also accepted the fact that bad behaviour on servers might result in account being removed. Already said in this thread. "I didn't read the agreement" isn't an excuse
They show the load on the tyres inner, middle and outer parts. When you're driving down a straight with a reasonable set (negative camber) you can see that the inside carries the most load, and when in corner the middle and outer part get some load too because of body roll and the negative camber. Having all 3 bars at the same height during cornering means that the tyre is facing the road directly = best grip.
