Diving into the corner like you did usually means that you're carrying a bit too much speed. Had Al not decided to challenge you in that corner you would've probably gone wide. Now that he did, you were clipped so that the only thing that could've saved you was to lift off for a moment. By that point you would've probably had an advantage over Al for the next corners, but we'll never know.
I bet you're a great hotlapper. Or when you plough through the field and get a clear track. Driving with others seems to bring up problems. Even if we tell you what's the problem you still don't see it

All 3 demo cars have inline 4 engines, S2 content brings a bit of variation to that (flat 4, flat 6, inline 6, flat 6 and v8's) and because of that the cars sound different too

I wish your conclusion is wrong, for the sake of me having a sim to spend my time with.. I've wondered why the sounds haven't been overhauled, and as time goes by I become even more anxious about what's going on.

OMG. The best kept secret of LFS development has been discovered! Although, LFS is an online racing simulator - I don't think downhill skateboarding is called racing, maybe something more along the lines of 'goofing around'?
