Thanks for everyone who participated and hopefully this f1 manager game added some additional excitement to the f1 season!
Did not change anything. Everyone is under lots of pressure in high level motorsports but rarely you see people throwing such childish tantrums all the time. He's a real rolemodel, motivator and thoroughly interesting person who is just misunderstood for no reason... It's the fault of the media...
Winning the sub league comp is getting harder and harder each year though! Out of our 6 tries we have won it it twice and we've been in top 5 other 2 times but this time it looks we are not even getting into top 50 . So no caps this year
There is still the 20€ main prize for our league which is given to one random person in top 20. Plus of course there is no finer accolade than being the grand champion of LFS F1 Manager Season 2012 .
I just watched the last race and just because I'm one curious sob I checked how much and how many adverts there were during the race. The race lasted almost 2 hours 49 minutes out of which 48 minutes were adverts. 16 ad breaks in total Of course some of those ads are shown during yellows when nothing interesting happens but still that is pretty sick amount imho. No wonder I can not watch those races live. Just way too many ad breaks..
I just quote this so I can point you towards this later on my post.
That's just most stupid thing I've ever heard.
Heavily focusing the suffering on the poor will not exactly help anyone.
Why should anyone give money to charity if (using your own words) it is just money spent helping those who are supposed to suffer? Doesn't charity financially reward that bad behaviour as well? lol
Personally I think you are just looking at some extreme examples. Life is not black and white.
I'd first wait and see how massa performs in the race. Dropping massa behind alonso during the race is easier and safer than messing with gearbox changes and giving away possible better points.
I was going to make a joke about this stupid thought but he actually went and said it
So let me get this straight. You want a live in a world where raped women have to give birth to their children, women and children die because of illegal abortions done by shady butcherers and child pregnancy is sky high because of "choise of not telling kids about contraception". All drugs are banned (alcohol, tobacco, marihuana, porn magazines, rock music, swearing). And of course there is only one true god. You want the same things as the talibans.
How is that in any way socialism? Lol. Next time before you use those fancy words at least check wikipedia. You clearly have no idea at all what socialism is. You just use it to label stuff bad you do not personally like.
I think it is just natural evolution of democracy that when people are doing well and there are no huge wide spread problems in the society people become apathic about politics. Politics is seen as a laborious tool of balancing, micro managing and is more about keeping itself going instead of being about trying to make things better for everybody. It in turn means there are dozens and thousands of small issues that are competing and are decided based on how the problem can be micromanaged and balanced with some other problem instead of actually solving ALL problems.
That leads to situation where the main goals and interests in politics are mainly economical in nature because business and economics are still one of the few areas of politics where such things as groups with common goals and interests to make those goals exist.
Of course part of the problem is that people are not really interested about solving problems. When people vote they look for ideological generalizations instead of facts. That is as much a problem of ignorance and prejudice as it is a very basic problem with democracy. We are not voting experts to handle and solve specific problems. We are voting people based on their grey ideological opinions about very broad questions.
So in another words unless you can get people's moneys they will never vote for your party.
