Whatever happened to being original and genuine? One saying he's acting black or acting white is basically saying he or she is acting all day long. Beneath this superficial layer of attitude, manners, clothing style, talking style etc. should be a unique person with his own personality, preferences and style. It seems these days it's all about homogeneity and being able to say you belong to a certain group and acting upon standards set by/for this group. I think it's disgusting and annoying. Be yourself, try to find it beneath the posing layer you put over yourself everyday.
Yes, I know people are influenced by their peers and that it is a normal and natural psychological process. But only to a certain extent. Some people let this influence get out of hand and take total control over themselves, basically obscuring their own personality untill there's nothing unique left. So few people seem real to me. I guess what it comes down to is self respect.
edit: if you care about having people around you who you could call good friends, there is no need to modify your personality in order to fit in, because true friends will respect you for what truly are.
The graphics look no less than stunning, although the front tires on the F1 look a bit...fat, will definitely be worth checking out if they provide at least decent physics simulation.
It´s about having a realistic RACING EXPERIENCE. What contribution would having to wait 4 hours for repairs have to the RACING EXPERIENCE? It´s funny that so often when people don´t like changes to LFS that increase the realism all they can do is point at other things that aren´t realistic (yet) and take the simulation aspect of LFS way out of context and to the extreme like you´re doing here. It´s a racing simulator, not a real life simulator.
If you really can´t see the difference in simulation the car handling and silly things like you mention I guess you´re just to thick to understand.
There are enough people interested in simulators, older sims have proven that. Who says there isn´t any fun doing that? It might not be fun to you, but that doesn´t make it a fact. Not to mention the flight simulator scene, where people are "pretending to be in a plane". There is enough interest in that and people have fun with it.
Pot, meet kettle.
LFS clearly states it´s goals on the website.
Yet you bought it and now you´re complaining about it getting too serious and the realism level too high.
Who´s the fool here?
So don't use your nationality or "not able to afford it" as an excuse when it is clearly not the reason for you not to buy it.
Ever thought about the possibilities of meeting people on the servers?
Argh!! does setting someone straight who happens to be a demo racer mean I or anyone hate demo racers? I don't hate demo users. I don't hate anyone for that matter. I just dislike people who whine or play the victim, whether that person is a demo player, an S2 user or the pope. You can't seem to as less as criticize a demoracer around here or you're being accused of being a demoracer hater. Stop playing the victim and seeing everything as either black or white! (not directed specifically at you)
So because you say you can't afford it makes it unfair?
I want a Ferrari but I can't afford it. That's not fair!
It may be unfortunate for you, unfair it is not.
In let's say 4 years you haven't been able to set aside some money for at least an S1 license? Yet you seem to have a PC and an internet connection?
Please, this I can't afford it crap is getting old.
Slow crowd...
This year sure has raced by so fast. But with the great patch Y it ended with a blast.
I'd like to wish every LFS player a very happy new year. And to the devs ofcourse I can't wait to see what 2008 will have in store for LFS
A special end year greeting to Promotech Racing, teh awesomest team in LFS!
It doesn't matter if you get the point or not, that's the way things are and that's what you're going to have to live with. Constantly moaning about not having an approval won't make things any easier.
It didn't work the last time, but now we just going to have to take your word on it that it works and because your friends said it seems to work?
Ah yes, there we have the "it's just a game" supposed end to all discussion argument again. Yawn.
