Ohh boy ...where is the LFS I Used to know

Age means nothing to me when racing others in LFS,behaviour on track is all that matter's, act like a plonker and it follows you like a bad smell, no matter how much verbal deodorant you use on the forums

We don't need an age related server, just more drivers of all ages racing.

Join a race and lead by example.

The way the cars feel was and has always been " the business" for me.

I don't want more cars, tracks or DX10 Bling , I want packed servers occupied with drivers who actually give a damn if they hit another driver.

How do you code for that?

Money and LFS should never mix IMO ,Oil and Semtex but I wish you all good luck, hope I'm proved wrong.
This is why I'm not jumping up and down with excitement with the news of a another Sim by the godfather .

XRT makes each corner an EVENT, One lap in the XRT is more rewarding than 10 laps in any other car IMO.

I Like to get around the track as fast as I can and as best I can with as little Unknown elements in corners as possible and with 20+ other's who want to do the same Anything that that Deviates from that is just more workload.

But If you like Drifting enjoy..you paid for your LFS , have fun.

I still the think the way the car reacts to drivers input is way ahead realism wise than the ones doing the Inputting.. me included.

Because it felt good to drive, First thing I remember was seeing all the gaudy multi coloured names and coming from GPL thinking "don't like this"... lol.

I remember when It was a community for me, Packed servers so busy that you had to get someone on Teamspeak to tell you.... join now!! when someone left the server , Enjoying racing hour after hour, wearing out 2 logitech Momo wheels , REALLY looking forward to getting back online for a good race and a good laugh,£24 for 4 years of that ...bargain.

I think this change is good for racing , It's one less distraction that takes your eyes of your line and the traffic around you, Splits next please.

The car will tell you more than any digital speedo about how fast you are going ,GPL did and LFS is even better in this respect.

In a race the speedo is your fellow racer watch them and act accordingly

I think this one simple graphic change back to anlogue speedo in LFS will make for better racing , the change reflects what for me LFS is about ..not accurate clinical PB's but the racing and the choices it brings up, should I pass?, should I back off ?should I stop for tea

You can race the same track 1000's of times but thanks to your fellow racers ,each race and each corner Is an unknown until it happens,, that is fun

Just have a gut feeling this change is for the good.

First of all I've not tried the patch yet, but regarding the loss of Digital speedo, I admit I have become addicted to it lately, using it as a benchmark or guide for lap times,I,m so glad I can now go cold turkey
The car Tell's you when you get a corner right That for me is what makes LFS so special, Maybe now I will watch the track more, think about my line more, instead of having to get XXMPH through t1

I think this change is a good move in the long term for LFS.

Wish there were stats for drivers who yield a position and then re-pass on the straight ahead, I want to race with them.
IMO stats are for politicians, but I,m probably wrong in 23% of cases

1: improvements in the audio department
2: new tracks
3: dont be greedy

That head sticking out of the car looks stupid, when I'm racing It's the least of my problems, But I if was watching Videos of LFS with a view to purchase and I saw this Constipated Alien with a tee-shirt driving the car I may feel differently.

The quiz sounds interesting , do we use the horn as a buzzer?.

Never used a blue flag message, never will, it's pointless as the Driver knows It already.
I have been on the receiving end of blue flag messages in the past and they pissed me of big time, I think they can produce the opposite of the desired effect.

Saying that I do think there is a problem with people pitting out mid race and not understanding there NOT IN THE RACE and therefore should not impede or slow down the people who are in the race , all I do know is screaming BLUE FLAG at them is counterproductive.

LFS is the most involving Online driving experience I have had since GPL.. Its a bargain for me, I don't care if its alpha beta or Omega, its a bit good.

Its my car of choice because I love the the way It corners and handles, what I did notice after a break from Conedodgers Is the big increase of FXR drivers since patch X was released and how I can't seem to catch them.. or anyone.

They could add 50kg and I would still drive it, Try the XRR next time, you may like it
