Read the Guide: Running a LFS server thread pinned in this forum, especially make note of bullet #4 under Detailed Guide: Windows and the sample batch file he has attached to his post.
I guess you need to install the drivers and set the wheel rotation degree in control panel or Logitech Profiler (or what ever program the wheel comes with)
Edit this bit in your host config
//if required : welcome message up to 200 chars
//welcome=welcome.txt
to
//if required : welcome message up to 200 chars
/welcome=welcome.txt notice the 1 removed /. Create welcome.txt in the same dir and put the message you want in it.
3. Set the before race message like (You don't have to win in the first corner!)
You need some InSim proggie for that, go take a look at unofficial addon forum.
4. What is a parameter?
/cars=GTT+FZ5+RAC
In the above GTT+FZ5+RAC is the parameter
5. Thats all I can think of atm
Ok, then.
6. oh yah how to install the thing that stores server pb top speeds drifts and etc?
There are more options for a application, you can access these by click "applications..." in the right click menu of sygate icon in the systray. Or from the tools menu from the main application. You should try go there and remove the entry or entries for LFS. Then go online, remember to click SHIFT+F4 as the firewall should ask for permission.
I have Sygate Personal Firewall v5.6, but I don't see any option why it would not work. Other than you have blocked access to port 80 for LFS.
Other option is that you are in a school dorm, company lan or with a really crappy ISP that needs all www traffic to go through a proxy.
Yes. But, if you've set LFS to handle set, spr, mpr etc files you need to do it again. Similarly you need to set up all 3rd party programs you use with LFS.
Same here, anything newer than 0.5U15 OOSes, while older versions works fine. The benchmark replay that is, the SPR from LFSW is borked even in 0.5U and according to the headers, it's made with 0.5U...
The single player replay system records your inputs and when you view the replay it plays your recorded inputs again essentially "driving" the race again. It produces 100% similar result what you actually saw while racing, unlike some other games where it just records the position on track. It has one drawback, it can go out of sync (OOS) from the slightest hiccup or change in used track/wheater/physics variables.
Prolly netlimiter, they consider it same as any other wallhack/aimbot thing. AFAIK they ban instantly if they detect it is running. Idiots, it has many legit uses, a warning should be sufficient.
And who ever webmaster trainee did the registration form should be sent back to school. I had to "hack" the javascript registration data validity check to get the email I wanted passed, and guess where there secondary check on the server side, of course not :dunce:
Open cfg.txt in the main LFS dir into notepad or something, and find line Start Windowed 0 and change the 0 to a 1. If you can't find it, add it.
That should rule out any resolution/Hz incompatibilities.
Is any part of your PC overclocked?
Do you have any problems with other games (other than minesweep etc)?
Have you run the DirectX tests? start->run->dxdiag
KISS, isn't always the best option. I mean, look what Gmail did with AJAX, Digg and vBulletin with this quick edit box ... etc. If you need to do one single thing, it's better to do it with AJAX way than load the whole page again.
But doing something in javascript that html also has perfectly good features is ridiculous. E.g. javascript links, people doing them should be shot. ALthough, if (s)he provided plain old <a href> fallback, a reprimand is enough
FWIW I voted the first option, but this would be more correct:
It's nice, but I only disallow JS for crappy/ad laden websites.
I dont know if it was mentioned before, so please forgive me.
It would be good, to read on what track you're racing. People always ask what track this is.
Maybe if you press "n" to see all the conections there should be a small tag with the trackname.
