Hopefully my win will come this time. I've got to win to have a chance at the championship so lets hope I keep my head together and there's no silly mistakes!
[O/T] I did a 2 and a half hour race yesterday, thank god this endurance isn't as long!
This'll probably jinx me but my connection has only ever given up once. It was with one of the new test patches and TBH i'm not sure whether it was the server or my connection.
I'm not sure if I agree with it but I suppose it is better for the division 1 drivers. The only thing is, everyone needs to be extra careful. It wouldn't be very good if a division 2 racer took out a division 1 racer and they lost the championship, or vice versa.
(Although, any division 1 drivers, feel free to take out Tongey, tot and M.Butz )
Here's how I see it (in pick up races): who cares if you come last? Slowly push your limits every lap, you'll soon get faster. Ignore where you come in a race. Also, if you're not comfortable with racing next to someone then back off and give yourself some space. Try starting at the back of every race until you get the confidence to go into T1 and not wreck the whole field.
To summarise it, have your own race. Ignore where you're going to finish and your lap times will soon pick up. When you're fast enough start racing with a few friends, get into a good battle and you'll soon get the confidence to do that with complete strangers.
Technically I could win the championship. The thing is I need to win, get the 20 bonus points on offer and everyone else near the top needs to be 4th or below, taking scoring 10 bonus points into account. I doubt it'll happen
EDIT: I need Tot to come 4th and Tongey to come 3rd. Jamie (my team mate) will be 2nd in qualifying and ultimately second in the race while I will have a dominating round and get pole AND the win. Everyone got that?
Yeah, it was fun racing with you up until then. TBH I wasn't that consistent. I was hovering around 1:33.9 with the ocassional quicker lap and quite a few slighty slower. I'm amazed how you never managed to pass me though. I must have had to go round the outside about 5 times.
Awesome race up until the 17th lap where JamieB confused me and we ended up facing the wall at the side of the track. I was first as well. Needless to say I'm not happy.
