Hi just wanted to ask what experience you´ve made with heel and toe driving (in combination with manual gearing on a shifter box) in terms of setup and lap times. Does it slow you down? Does it make a difference in setting up you car? Is there anyone driving as fast with paddles as with manual box?
Please share your experiences and opinions.
Just got mine today. Tried it out and so far 2 things I remarked was, a) that I could increase brake power in setup and put the brake bakance more to the rear and b) throttle and brake control became much more precise. For braking late: Yes maybe but not much, only thing is that it is much more easy to unlock a locked tyre or to prevent it in the first place.
P.S.: I´m not sure about this but it seems that Leo´s adapter also fixed my wheel calibration problems. To explain it in short terms. On longer stints my wheel started getting of the center to the right (even once it was 90 degrees off the center) , doesn´t seem to be happening now, but I still have to see if it will stay that way.
Arrg, hope he will restart shipping asap. Since I moved house I have a terrible sitting position and I have no way to fix the pedals. After short races of 30 minutes + my back is hurting like hell. I badly need such a thing.
Anyone got a reply yet? Found this product also very interesting (my racing pos right now kills my back and my pedals always slipping), wrote a mail but also waiting for a response.
I liked it. I´m even happy with the result, considering I had a 6 months break and no practice at all. It was even my first race I drove with the shifter box. I eventually misclutched some times but all in all it was a great experience. Fights where close and I had a great lot of fun in this one. Thanks for the racing.
Bah my race was horrible. DIdn´t had the time to practice and so I had no meaningfull set. While in qualifying I could have done a low 1:35 (if I hadn´t to fix some wheel problems), my race set was horrible. Oversteering a bit everywhere (even in the last sector before the start/finish straight), I had to fight the car in every corner. Unfortunatly GF and me ran together and we had to pit both to fix the damages. Later I got together with STB, sorry mate it was an unfortunate race incident, I knew you where there, well sorry. While the race progressed, my wheel got more and more off center until I had to give up completely (by then it reached almost 90 degrees of off-center to the right). Well I think I gotta fix it now or I´ll bye a new one.
What you mean. Our accident was an unfortunate one. I´ve oversteered a bit, and ran into you. I´m sorry it happened but that´s racing. Had nothing to do with mirrors caus you where beside me.
The server is called [DR] Server 1 . As Gentlefoot posted he will make the password available through the GF Forum. For the moment being there´s no pass set, so you can join to practice.
Yeah but the problem they're still fighting off is the one stated by the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. They can either locate a particle in space or its speed. Not both. (Before someone starts shooting at me: i know I wrote it rather simplistic)
I'm in for sure. As for tracks, some Aston Grand Touring/Historic or GP wouéd be my favourites (not performance-wise as these are the tracks I'm probably slowest but I like them).
He he, I've also found out to late how the qualification would proceed. Well I've been busy lately and wouldn't have done well anyway. See us on a V1 server
It lies in our hands, the last race will be held, whether it's gonna be a high note or not depends how many people are gonna drive in it. Championships still are running, not every title is yet fixed, so I'm inviting all of those people that drove in the championships and also newbies to this final race.
BTW, if you wanna get in, could you write me a pm, so that I know with how many drivers we have to deal. Time and date will be the same.
