Anyone seen a Stinger GT a single time in the game? I have a feeling it's made out of unobtainium.

Been also hunting for an unmarked Crown Vic, it's super rare to spawn in the traffic. Only spotted it once near the U-turn shaped bend at strawberry, got one shotted to death with full armor instantly by a shotgun blast the moment I tried to steal it.

Tried out IOS 7 in a store today, and I actually quite liked it. The gestures made it much faster and streamlined to use than the previous versions.

Think I'll order a 5S once they land in Finland, as I mainly use my phone for quick photo snaps these days and 5S seems to have a pretty decent sensor on it.

Quote from chanoman315 :I tried 2 times with Trevor and the first one the engine just shut down when trying to land and couldnt get near the airfield... second time got blown up, and with Michael the same.

This strat worked like a dream for me, try it.

Took a few tries, but managed to steal a fighter jet for Trevor.

Is it possible to buy hangar spaces from the airport for both Michael and Franklin, or just one?
Edit: Just checked, it's possible.

Anyone else suffering with this problem? Same cars keep spawning, no matter what I do. Tried jumping in to all different cars that roam around, drive around the island... no luck. Same thing was happening in GTA 4 back in the day, but it wasn't anywhere near this bad. Only really noticed it after beating the missions.

This is exactly what Linux needs to grow in to a popular mainstream OS, proper gaming support from a big company.

Meanwhile, Microsoft completely ignores Windows as a serious gaming platform as they've done ever since the original Xbox... instead we get metro bullcrap.

I'd say stable 30 FPS to be an absolute minimum playable framerate on current consoles, as 60 is simply out of the question with the age of the hardware. However in GTA, the framerate drops even way below 20 in busy streets, that makes driving fast between two stopped cars at traffic lights a pain in the ass. Input lag also increases the lower the framerate is, even beyond 200 milliseconds, that is plainly rubbish.

Once you get used to anti-aliased 1080p (or 1600p for that matter) running at a solid 60 FPS, playing something aliased to hell at 720p and stuttering below 20 FPS is plainly a bad experience.

Digital Foundry made a good framerate video of GTA V, though they didn't take any samples in busy city traffic.

I consider the low framerate and high input lag to be worse regarding car handling than the nervous physics themself. Also the forced massive deadzone on any third party gamepads on the PS3 sure took time to get used to.

Finished the main story couple days ago, happy with the ending I chose. Think I'll wait for the PC version before doing much else really, the overall experience is just going to be so much better on it.

Shouldn't take it serious/believe it until it comes directly from Rockstar.

I wish it would be possible to transfer photos as raw files to the consoles hard drive directly, rather than this social club bullcrap that's down 99.99% of the time anyway.

My pimped out Dominator.

Got my dev kit today, that file worked just fine with LFS. The "hacky" head tracking keeps slowly going off center though, requiring a manual centering keystroke every 5 mins or so... native Oculus support please?

All I can say is, VR is going to be a game changer. This is the future, that much is certain. You have to try it to understand it, but it is mind blowing how much depth and awareness it brings, even with the ultra low resolution dev kit prototype. Driving something like an LX4 or MRT really gives you a feel how close to the ground those cars actually run, and the depth inside a road car cockpit is amazing. I keep wanting to try to reach over and touch the dashboard and side mirror!

It's also the first time I've felt that head tracking doesn't completely "disconnect" me from the car - like TrackIR does. When I get in to a slide using TIR with my head turned, all hell breaks loose and I have no idea what the car is actually doing. Not so with the Rift, I can just look out the side windows and pull an awesome slide and keep on driving, it feels fantastic.

Okay, phew. Been avoiding this thread to avoid spoilers for the past few days. Been playing for about 5 hours now, there's just so much to do in the world!

Haven't had any popping issues with the PSN version running on an SSD, but the framerate is pretty terrible most of the times. I'd say 30 FPS is the absolute maximum that you get if there's very little going on, but while driving in the city with busy traffic, you're going to go down to under 20 FPS and it gets really choppy, sometimes even very difficult to do missions as a result.

Physics... well they've gone more arcade and twitchy from GTA 4 as I expected from the videos. It's not totally uncontrollable, but the cars are too overly responsive and twitchy, far from the enjoyable and relaxed GTA 4 driving. Motorcycles are the worst offenders, they were nearly perfect in 4, but here they are mega twitchy and nervous, barely uncontrollable.

Those are the only negatives I can think of, I've loved everything else about it so far. The game is a vast masterpiece, that I feel like has been made for the next gen consoles in mind rather than the current ones. I'm almost certain that we're going to see a next gen console release once they come out, then the game would make much more sense with higher FPS and more enjoyable gameplay as a result. Not to mention, once it comes on PC, the twitchy handling can be fixed with mods.

In its current form with the outdated console performance, I'd give it a 7/10. Full HD and above with 60 FPS, 9/10.

Quote from pipa :Little worried by the look of that handling.

Yeah, I agree. It's definitely taken a step towards more arcadey physics. Pity.

I'm still sitting here wondering how you're playing with your thumbs being on the slippery triggers.

Yes I know you meant the analog sticks.

I find the dualshock triggers to be the biggest annoyance, they're designed for your fingers to instantly slip off them, horrible.

Somehow, I'm not sensing the soul in this game. I get the vibes from all the footage so far, that some guy came up with a great idea for a game mechanic but the publisher just saw dollar signs.

Not saying that it doesn't seem like a cool game, because it does, but something just doesn't feel right.
