Dude chill out! The answers to your questions are in this very thread. To make it easier I have quoted them for you. Obsolum didn't suggest you read the whole forum, he suggested you read this thread again as you had obviously missed what I have quoted below.
Remember that we are only hearing one side of the story here. On top of that we are hearing a side of the story comming from someone who feels hard done by in the deal.
I'm willing to bet that a look at the correspondance from both sides would change the whole look of this thread.
Without seeing the email you sent them asking for a status update this means nothing. Also based on the way you have written in this thread I can't see it being the nicest of emails. We all know that the devs have got bogged down with tyre physics etc. and an email asking for an update on something that they likely put on the back burner could have steered them towards saying "lets just not bother with that then"
Finally you are saying you didn't even bother asking them about the Skoda so this thread is really just another "whinge at the devs" thread with a "lets wind the locals up" thrown in.
Edit:
So my last paragraph was right then? I'd put a lot of money on there being more to this truck thing than you are letting on.
Don't take what I say personally mate. I know that can't be the reason for everyone (massive assumption and all that). I know some would love to be able to turn up no matter what their chances but you have to admit it does appear that way for a number of the others that just don't bother any more.
I don't seem to be able to have a round without being taken out, having a noob moment (not enough fuel, speeding in pits) or some external influence!
At least I still turn up though, unlike many that appear to not be bothered now that they can't win. (a massive assumption, I know, but what else could it be?) Is this a common occurance in leagues? This is my first.
The last post about the development work from scawen was in March, which was indeed just a few lines of text. The one you mention in November was FAR from just a few lines of text.
Again, lets not let facts get in the way of a good troll eh?
Nope, not going to tell you that you checked at the wrong times because you are quite right, IHR is not a busy server any more. If anything it's a lot more like your favourite server these days (spends a lot of time empty and at it's busiest has 10-15 racers). Therefore it is a lot cleaner. I've seen it posted many times on here, if you want a clean server then join one with about 10 racers or less. The fact we don't even allow newbies to race helps this. How much it helps will always be open to debate.
It's actually the point that I've been trying to make for a while as loads of people still judge it on how it was a few months ago before we put the minimum standard in place. Cargame WAS growing well and when we stopped all the newbies from racing and recommended cargame to them, they went there. I'm NOT saying cargame only got busy/became the busiest because of what we did but I am saying it helped.
RenvoN, it's not dead. It may be dead TO YOU, if you call any server that hasn't got grids of 20+ cars dead. You are entitled to your opinion but your opinion is not fact.
So you are moaning that there isn't enough content?
Content needs to be uploaded.
There has already been at least one comment in this thread questioning whether bose had permision to upload some of the content so he's hardly likely to spend hours finding and uploading content if he's just going to be slammed for (possibly) not having permission.
Instead of whining (ok it was more of a "I support a site that is not there yet" than a whine) about it you could help by finding the content you want, asking permission then uploading it. Then you would have a "place where you could make lfs designed for you".
Dude, your exam results will affect the rest of your life. This is a practice session which will affect nothing for you other than the fun of the race. Think more seriously about it. You've already said you'll regret it.
Not that it's any of my business but take it from someone who is nearly 40 and only now not struggling for money due to fart arsing around and not taking exams seriously.
Was that added last night when Scawen had to close yet another scirocco thread? I reckon he probably was thumping the keys in annoyance and just missed that one letter.
Don't worry about it. Sign up and get stuck in. Yes there are those that act like they own place but just ignore them and enjoy the race. The admins are generaly nice people, they are doing all the organising for nothing afterall, and will be glad to see new racers.
