Deko, you dissapoint me, I thought you were a nice guy. You and Chris should be encouraging these guys not publicly laughing at them.

I'd just like to add to this.

At the moment you don't have to be racing on our servers to use our Vent server. It spends a lot of time nearly empty at the moment which is a waste of money. So if you want to chat with your mates while on your own server just find an empty room, there are plenty, and chat away.

This may change in the future if it gets busy but for now, fill ya boots.

NotAnIllusion, unfortunately you are one of the ones that have been unfairly hurt by us upping the SR required to drive the XRG. I've raced with you many times before (well been passed by you anyway) and I know that you can handle the XRG.

Please understand the reason we have done this though. As you are aware there are many peole that cannot drive the XRG well but think they can. We found that these types were causing many accidents, either directly or indirectly by holding up lots of cars by having the ass end hanging out on every corner, so in order to stop this we upped the SR required to 80%. 80% is not that high but it does mean that a new starter (to IHR) does have to get from 50 to 80 before they can drive it.

We have found that it has made a big difference to the quality of driving in the STD class as it keeps the real beginners out of the XRG. Real beginners will struggle to get to 80% and when they do they don't want to spoil it straight away by jumping into an XRG that they can't drive.

While reading this I just checked your stats on IHR and I can see that you have passed that now anyway It's nice to see good driving talent racing with us.

Considering it's an S2 server and you are posting from a demo account I can only assume that this is a second account you have registered to keep your real identity hidden. I believe second accounts are forbidden here?

Edit: So Mr. Bluenavy, maybe you didn't try to hide as your demo account is the same name as your racer name. Just letting you know your ban was about to run out but I've now made it permanent.

You guys need to learn the difference between dead not as busy as it used to be. The difference is huge. We get new users every day in ihr servers.

There was no reason given on the ban list so I was unable to tell you why. Yes I did look at the time of replying to you. It was only for 3 days so it wouldn't have been that serious though none of the admins will ban for no reason at all. Had you saved your replay and posted in the relevent place on our forum we would have looked at it and considered removing your ban. I tried to discuss your opinions of us in PM but you refused to speak to me after telling me what you believe we did wrong. I don't think anybody banned people "because of fun". I really don't.

I cannot hope to look into problems and concerns if I am not given hard facts to work with though and when I say hard facts, I don't neccessarily mean replays, just a bit more than "I don't like how you attacked my friends".

If we cannot look into them we cannot even begin to think about apologising and trying make right what was done wrong. So I ask you please to stop flaming us and instead open a dialogue so that we can try to clear this bad air that has happened.

We had some problems at the start, we admit, but we worked on it and did our best to turn things around.

Do you know about our VIP program? Respected users of our server are given limited admin access. We ask nothing of them but purely give the access so that real idiots (you all know they exist) can be removed when there is not an admin around. Some use it rarely, some help to admin. It's up to them.
There are now nearly as many VIP admins as there are IHR members. It is our goal to give out this access to as many people as possible. Imagine how clean a server can be if half the grid are admins and the other half know this?

We ask you all to bring individual concerns to us either privately or on our forum so that we can have the chance to address them. Flaming us on here does nothing to satisfy your concerns and can only make things more sour. Give us a chance as we have given many chances to others.

I would have thought that someone who has been around since 2004 would know that you don't lose the replay when you get banned. You rename the temp.mpr BEFORE you try to rejoin. You can also press H to bring up the chat history so you can see the last few lines. I have little to no sympathy for someone who should know better.

You say the only thing you remember doing is saying "crasher". In my experience it is more often the one who shouts "crasher" is the one who caused the accident, only their ego's won't let them see that.

Protest in the correct way and your ban will be looked at. As I have said before mistakes are made and they are apologised for. We will not deal with cases here for some very obvious reasons. If you don't feel like registering on our server and we don't feel like dealing with it here then you are the one with two options as has already been explained.

I'm confused, I look at the ban list and you appear to still be banned. It is a 3 day ban that was set 4 minutes before your first message, so it hasn't been lifted and then put back.

As far as not complaining here is concerned. We make it quite clear that protests belong on our forum and not on this forum. This is not a unique rule either, most servers do this. Be honest. The reason you posted here is because you feel your whining will reach a bigger audience and you might just get some more sympathy. If you can post about your ban in the correct place, preferably with a replay, it can be looked into. Bitching on here about bad administration is not going to help your case.

Yes mistakes are made, we are human afterall, and if you take a look at our protests page you will see that we have accepted and apologised for mistakes. Most of us are also new to administrating and we are learning the whole time. Take your time to read some of the report threads. You will see a lot of discussion regarding bans and penalties.

Finally posting a whining thread right after Ori has warned that if you do you will get permanently banned is a bit daft. Just hope that Ori is in a good mood when he reads it.

1:32 A nice pit move on EZA. It could be argued that he didn't give you enough room, 50:50 I'd say, but you didn't lift your throttle once.

6:14 You outbraked yourself at the hairpin, it's easily done, then rejoined straight into the back of bosk who was even giving you room. No apology

7:00 This is where my irony meter goes into overload. First you hit bosk by trying to take the apex when there a car between you and it then as he bounces back off the wall he PITs you. Admittidly he didn't back off the throttle but this actually helps straighten your car again. Then you call for him to banned. An accident that YOU caused!

At the end of the race you call bosk a crasher, remember you caused it, and this is also where I tell you that you are on a warning again. You then argued that I should warn myself first. I had ONE incident which I apologised for and let the cars involved past. You had the 5 above plus other minor incidents I didn't think worthy of mentioning now. How you had the gaul to argue against your warning, just a warning, I really don't understand. It was clear at this point that you was not going to learn by your mistakes so I decided to ban you for a few days.

The ban was made permanent by a different admin after your first post in this thread. We don't want people like you who have no respect for anyone on our server.

I gave you a warning for a couple of incidents and you whined and moaned like a girl. If you had just said, "OK", you'd still be allowed on our server.

We don't give out warnings for the fun of it. We want clean racing and if we can educate rather than ban then we much prefer that route. Do you seriously think that we will ban everyone that is faster than us? If I banned everyone that is faster than me we wouldn't have many left to race there.

As far as the admin crash you talk about, that was me. I will provide the replay later if I can be bothered but you know full well that I didn't just drive off into the distance. I pulled over to the side, apologised, then made sure that everyone involved had got away before I started off again. If everyone who crashed did that our ban list would be much shorter. It's called self moderating.

I have no problem with gotspeed asking other people for thier opinion on this. He may feel that we have ganged up on him on our forum although there have been people other than IHR posting in the thread. He has also posted it in the right place because he is asking about the incident and not about the ban.

Timo1992, he was not banned for the incident, he was only kicked. The initial 12 hour ban came because he would not drop it. We don't argue in lfs chat. That is not good for the rest of the racers.

I just checked the replay and the only childish behaviour I saw there was from Smiley (nofear88bg).

This is how I saw it. My opinion. (using race names)

down the straight towards chicane boss caught generals draft and overtook, but then he went in too hot and hit a tyre which sent him into the gravel on the right. General, not wanting to get involved in the crash, slowed down to avoid him. That is when smiley comes up behind, wanting to use the full racing line, even though he can see all this going on ahead of him. No adjustment in speed, or line, for the fact there was a crash ahead of him, and hits the back of general.

In my mind the only one with any cause for complaint, though very small, would be general but he didn't complain at all. Smiley spectates and then starts accusing general of slowing down on purpose (I assume he means on purpose to upset smiley)

Now the guy being called a 10 year old admin, at the end of the race, advised smiley that he had been warned about arguing. Smiley ignored this warning, continued arguing and in the end was banned.

Quite how you can say that 1 line and 1 ban is evidence of acting like a child I don't know.

I would be careful as I'd imagine the penalties for abusing the global ban system would be quite severe.
