I know this is farfetched but im betting Mugello will be in next year as well as a Fiat(Likely SRT) factory backed Coloni team.

Maldonado despite his faults brings massive money and defiantly has more potential with more experience as it stands right now i think he is right up with the best in Qualifying which is easiest way to show talent, Senna is on his last legs I think its time for Bottas.

Quote from tristancliffe :So Grosjean was punished not for what he did, but the end result? Is that fair?

Its pretty obvious this was the case.

TBH its exactly like Spa its just the end result was different So FIA didn't need to over react to it.

played the Demo for a bit I can tell you some things:

-Handling is pretty much like forza 4 except much lighter at low and high speeds so its more driveable for controller, definitely infinite times better then TDU 2

-Every road seems to be Barricaded so its not a True Free roam this might change in the full map but i don't think so, tbh this game is giving me epic vibes of Need for speed.

-Off road is lolz handles WAAAY to grippy its like your driving on road.

- Car sounds have been quietened down a bit compared to forza 4

In other news, looks like Massa has managed to salvage a seat for another year. Ans yes I think Kamui did a decent job, but was appalling on the restart, Vettel had 2 seconds in the bag before he even crossed the line.

don't think it mattered too much, no one was catching Vettel.

Tbh Fwds shouldn't be able to race with RWDs because as you saw at sonoma the guys with frontys just plow into the rear driven guys knowing there not going to spin when they touch.

Muller was driving pure Btcc style in race 2 and rear driven guys got to accept losing a position or they risk a spin.

an interesting thought, despite Perez looking far dominant to.Kobayashi, if you take away his second place at Malaysia(where kobayshi looked impressive as well untill a gearbox failure)Kobayaski would actually have 2 more points then Perez, i don't think the gap between the drivers is as much as people think, because when the car isn't impressive kobayashi is still hauling in the points also with 9-6 Qualifying record in favour of Kamui it further illustrates my point.

Quote from anttt69 :News to me. Alonso did nothing wrong, it was sneaky Raikonen's fault. Why would anyone overlap the rear of another car by only the depth of thier front wing, leaving themselves in crap position with no where to go & no chance of overtaking???.
It almost looks as if he was trying to puncture his tyre. Why else would you leave your tyre cutters in that position? What was he hoping to gain?
Completely avoidable imo.

As for Grojean, the kid looks like he's on drugs (interview). It was mostly his fault, but not all. If you watch the replay it looks very much like Webber slows down. Comparitively to the cars around him.
Even with that posibility, the kid needs to wake the **** up, this is F1 not stock cars. The FIA need to step in.

Sorry for the rant but, just had to get this off my chest. Raikonen also goes completely unoticed forcing Perez off the track on lap 2 when he had no right. If a car is fully alongside at turn in then you must share the corner. Raikonen drove him off the road like he owned the place . No penalty, no drive through, even the commentators failed to see it.

I lost respect for two F1 drivers today. Also anyone else notice that Lewis just doesnt give a **** anymore. Smug git.

blaming kimi, looks like we hit the butthurt football fan section of F1 fans, it was completely Alonso's fault as he was reacting to the non threat of Button moving over and still had half the track left before he was even close to him, he just flatout did a Grosjean at spa.

Quote from samjh :I think Kobayashi's seat will be safe. Peter Sauber likes him. But more to the point, he's a fairly quick driver, doesn't make stupid mistakes, and has great racer's instinct. Relative to the grid, he's not elite, but capable of matching most of the second-tier drivers, IMHO.

He'd be the first pick for any team principal looking for a strong, cheap, easy-to-manage driver.

Qualifying has always been his weak point but this year it seems to have swapped around and despite some bad luck he doesn't seem comfortable as he was in race pace before, might be the tyres he can't get used to.

Surely Kob will keep his seat for next year he has qualified in the front two rows 3 times this season, surely has to count for something.

Quote from samjh :Pretty sure this is permanent retirement. The old fire was never lit when he came back. IMHO, he should never have come out of retirement.

If he wants to keep racing, maybe he should move on to Le Mans. He has experience in endurance racing from his younger days, and it's probably a far lighter commitment than F1 (ie. more time with family, etc).

If he wants to stay with Mercedes, maybe head over for V8 Supercar, just a thought?

Quote from DieKolkrabe :Make Pocono 500 miles, bring back the Triple Crown, keep TG out of Indycar (again), he wrecked it before and he'll do it once again if given the chance.

Apprently ABC wont let them make it any longer due to time commitments, but if it works expect it to be a 500 miler the year after.

As for TG, well im sure no one wants him anywhere near this series problem is he has alot of corporate friends in high places.

Looks like Tony George wants to buy the series off his family with the Support of teams, in what is basically identical to what Cart was before TG had a PMS rage, my picture is pretty much what i think of this as the guy can't be trusted.

Quote from DieKolkrabe :See my rant above your post. SAFER barriers at Adelaide? Not only would it narrow the course, it's just plain stupid. You can't just move the roads can you (well, unless you're Valencia) and go and screw around with a city for the sake of making a once a year sporting event safer. For 362 days a year, the street track's public roads. V8s are already safe for the most part (Reindler's BBQ last year excepted, but that could happen to any car in that situation).

It's funny though, I'm amazed they aren't screaming for SAFER walls at Bathurst, or do they know just what kind of a shitstorm that'd cause?

Its only for one corner, a corner soo fast and dangerous someone has actually been killed at it, there is justification for it imo.

Quote from CSF :Berger didn't really fail. Did quite a good job imo, certainly 100x better than Niki who constantly undermined his drivers by claiming he could do a better job....

He loves himself too much that's the problem.

Edit: Isn't the Peugeot built to the new R5 rules? Also Peugeot is also PSA, like Citroen.

Nothing says Peugeot are making a factory team though, just supplying a car.

Quote from NotAnIllusion :Perez has outclassed Kobayashi, though he's shown some impatience with all the fist waving. Kobayashi has underperformed most times he's been anywhere near the front, and seems to randomly switch between too careful and too optimistic. Sure, luck plays a part, but even though I'd really like to see a successful Japanese driver in F1 I have to suspect Kobayashi is not that person. Mid-tier.

Still the Qualifying record is in Kamuis favour, race pace wise he has been outclassed though, which weirdly has always been his strong suit I think we still may have more to see from him, but usually a 3rd season will show the picture.
