Get rid of the pictures, and it would look alright.
But seriously, i would tone it down with all the Anime/Japanese girl crap. While the images aren't exactly Pornographic, there still a little too much for a game that young kids will frequent, and it kind of makes you, the skin user, look like a sad git to be honest.
If your still insisting on using images like that, try and smooth them into the cars colour instead of just pasting a picture on, and spend more than 5 minutes on the skin.
I see what you mean, and i kind of agree in a way, but i shall wait until i try it on my brothers PS3 before i comment on the physics. What i can comment on from that video though, is the track scenery looks pretty bland and sparse, and the sounds still suck.
Sorry for the long wait. It was Laguna Seca. I took the picture on the corkscrew facing the sun.
No problem. A front dam would of finished of my datsun nicely IMO, but there's not one available. There was a rear wing available, but it was one of those tiny adjustable ones, and really ruined the lines. Some de-chroming wouldn't of gone a miss either, but alas, i can't do it.
I just messed around with the in-game sliders. I think it went something like high contrast, medium/low brightness, high exposure, a little sepia etc. etc.
Just have a fiddle with them, and you will get either crappy or interesting results. Personally, i was quite chuffed with how well that sunset looked.
I finished school a while ago now, but i had some really awesome mates. Never had any problems with bullys or any of that either, apart from the occasional person that would think he has the right to curse at you and whatnot. A slap would usually set them straight.
I've lost contact with alot of the "group" i was in from school, but i meet up with a few of them every now and then and have a drink. I still talk to my friends that i have known since nursery though. We were all in the same schools every year. There awesome.
If your mainly going to drive the car at normal road conditions, then i would recommend just replacing your disc and pads with normal OE stuff. It would work out cheaper, and the car will be running the right parts.
My comment about the disc's possibly cracking is true, but it only applies if your really really hard on them. For normal road driving, they will be fine.
As for the pads, it all depends on what type of material they use. I once had some Greenstuff pads on my Mondeo V6 before i put the AP Racing kit on there (Don't kill me Tristan! I got the Green's for free!) and i can confidently say they were the WORST pads i have ever felt when cold, and they felt no better than the standard pads i had in when warm. They were seriously scary when cold.
Anyhow, it's your choice as it's your car, but i would recommend just replacing them with OE parts. Oh, also put some higher grade brake fluid in there. That will improve the brake feel a little and won't cost much.
It will be quite nippy with 150hp in such a small car!
Providing it's the same 1.8T engine that we were discussing earlier, then yes, it will be a fantastic engine.
I don't like VAG's at all, but the 1.8T is the best mass produced petrol engine they do imo. They respond very well to mild fettling and there pretty economical considering they are Turbocharged.
Just get better pads and put empty and refill the brake fluid if it hasn't been done in a while.
Avoid drilled discs. If you buy cheap ones manage to get them hot enough, the gaps in between the holes will crack, which will lead to the discs shattering next time you use them heavily.
Also, if you do get braided brake lines, make sure the joins and connections in the pipes are metal and NOT rubber. If there rubber, they are more likely to corrode and pop off when under pressure, but you won't see because the lines are under nice and shiny metal lining.
Instead of buying braided brake lines, i would first recommend checking everything with your braking system is 100% ok. Also, bear in mind that if you fit uprated pads, (depending on what type of ceramic they are) they will not work as well as your original ones in normal road conditions, as they will not be up to temparature.
E: Also, braided lines will not really make a difference to a car that has standard brakes. The people that say "Oh yes, made a difference to my car definetely! It brakes like a Ferrari!" are the ones that are only experiencing better brake feel because they have had to drain out there old sludgy brake fluid and refill it with fresh fluid, which in turn would provide a better brake feel on pretty much every car with old fluid.
If you mean fastest in terms of pure straight line speed, then i have an RX-7 that can do 266mph. I did manage to hit 267 once, but couldn't do it again.
A guy called DaveWS is the one you wan't when sounds come into it. I am trying to find his updated tyre and crash sounds on the LFS-Database, but it seems to be down yet again.
We've had them in work quite alot, but i think i remember some being badged as "1.8T's" and not GTi's, and they had non-GTi spec interiors too. I could be wrong however.
Bloody brilliant engines though.
E: Just done a quick search. Turns out they sold 1.8T's seperate to the GTi, and it had the same 1.8T engine as the GTi, but only producing 150hp instead of 180hp like in the GTi/Audi TT/Audi A3 etc. etc.
