Well I can tell you the ones it did work for.

And I believe I did not have any setups for the Sauber to begin with.
So that leaves the new BMW...hmm...seems all were acccounted for but for some reason some setups just didn't transfer.
Nevermind...XRG is missing. Maybe thats the one with the trouble then.
Worked great for nearly all my setups, except about 125 of them...they got transferred over but no three digit vehicle name was given so the files just say "_as1_blah345.set" for example.
This sounds promising to me, with my mouse problem posted above, because the same thing happens here with the mouse axis selected. I can select mouseX and mouseY but no control afterwards. Hopefully this is all the same problem and fix.
Well this test patch won't let me setup my mouse like usual. I can usually select the 'wheel/js' option and it'll detect my mouse as a controller. And it allows me to select the Mouse X axis for steering and Mouse Y axis for combined throttle/brake. So the 'wheel/js' option no longer detects the mouse? Is this a permanent thing? I know I'm in the major minority with this kind of mouse setup but that really hinders me.
Modify the intake runner. I've been running tests recently in my mechanical engineering's I.C. Engines class on the effect of modifying intake runner length to change the torque curve. We went kind of extreme, starting with a 50in long runner, and moved down to a 12in. The longer runner keeps the max torque at lower RPM, and the short runner puts the max torque at higher RPM.
Haven't ever played rfactor or really even looked into it much at all, but this looks like a lot of fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4o09vk6InE Probably feels extremely arcadish and leaps away from LFS physics but that still looks like a few hours of fun
It is still there. In Options click the Controls button. Then at the top click 'wheel/js' button. Change Throttle/brake axes to 'combined.' In the middle of the screen click Axes/FF button. Click 'Steer' button and select MouseX under Available Axes. Click 'Thr/Brk Combined' button and choose MouseY under Available Axes.
A problem with this, is LFS will put the 'W' next to your name in multiplayer thinking you are using a wheel. But there is currently nothing to do about this yet.
Yep, those stats aren't too accurate. Personally I've been using a mouse for over a year now, but in order to have the setup I like I have to choose the 'wheel' setting in game, so any stats for me say I have a wheel.
Been driving in real life for about 7 years, but I've always used chase view in LFS. It is only like that because every other game I played involving cars or motorcycles I used chase view also. And I've been playing video games a lot longer than I've been driving in real life, so it's hard to suddenly adapt to a cockpit view.
That part would be incorrect because I have an x800 and also have dx 9.0c. The game just doesn't support this card. This card isn't even that old or crappy
I ordered my x800pro, power supply, two sticks of memory, and a case fan from newegg. I've never had any problems with them. I made my own mistake though by purchasing incompatible memory sticks, but newegg made it easy to get a refund for them.
Hidden mode: In the menu put your cursor where I marked with a yellow X and click. Now you have several word instructions and a picture. If you can't get it now...
This is already possible and is how I race all the time. You just have to select 'wheel' as your controller and then assign the corresponding axes. It really is not that hard to use at all.
The throttle and brake also needs to use the 'combined' setting so that the upper portion of the screen is throttle, and lower portion is brake, with an amount of deadzone in between according to how you set that up.
