In case you're still confused, a rar file is very similar to a zip file(considering you know what zip is). It's just a different way to compact several files into one.

Quote from AndroidXP :Wait, you get less fps with VSync disabled?

I went from 60 fps with VSync enabled and App. Controled AA and AF to 110 fps with VSync disabled plus changing to 4XAA and 8XAF. It looks tons better and smoother. With only the VSync change, it's like a 60-70 fps difference.

With my car I believe the gas light comes on with 1/8 tank left, and at 1/16 tank the light starts blinking. I've only seen it blink in one instance, but was still able to drive about 10 more miles to a gas station. I think Danowat will make it just fine.

I finish third, but shows me in fourth; finish first but shows me in second. Out of the 22 or so races I did today those two are the only ones it has done that too. There was a player lagging kind of bad at one time in that server, but can't say for sure if he was present during those particular races. I attached a picture for better clarification. Just a little bug or just lag?

Alright I just looked at the race details. The people placing "first" in those two races(albatorddgma and JuppDerWurm) both had DSQ. So that's got something to do with it I guess.

That was pretty sick, especially seeing the dolphins squirm around in pain. They can't find a more humane process for this?

If I want to pause the game offline I should be able to pause the game. Someone would have to show me some real proof that pausing during a hotlap can help make a lap time better. I believe someone really has to be "in the groove" to set a WR time. Changing your concentration the slightest bit to hit the pause key, and then making sure your wheel and gas or brake are in the exact position when you unpause as they were when you paused is near impossible. It's more likely to slow you down.

Pausing isn't possible online, and is possible offline. Just as it should be.

Looks like he could have swung a bit wider and missed contacting you. But then again, depending on which view you use you could have seen him in your mirrors and turned inside to let him pass since his speed was like 3 times yours. However, retaliation wrecking is certainly not tolerated and he should be banned for that. Cussing is also a bannable offence.

You also made a stupid move on the last lap trying to overtake second place. Shouldn't have tried to squeeze in there :-)

Makes no difference to me really. I voted yes though simply for a suggestion I just thought of....Maybe take post count away and replace it with how many miles we've driven or something.

Quote from Dj-Aeri :This patch was very small, I suppose that they will be working at something bigger, no?

SMALL? Maybe in your eyes, but this list of improvements from U to V is quite long and impressive. And I'd bet the work to do all this wasn't 'small' either.

NOTE about H-pattern shifters : A new support system for H-pattern shifters automatically uses the shifter for cars with an H-pattern shifter, and your sequential gears for single seater cars. If you have a shifter, just set the user option to "shifter". For convenience, there are two separate versions of these settings : AutoClutch, GCCut, GCBlip. That's because a lot of people may wish to use auto clutch with their paddle shift and manual clutch with their shifter.

NOTE about changing controls : There is a new script system you can read about below. When you select a car with a road / sequential or paddle shifter, LFS will run the file data\script\road.lfs (etc). Some people may wish to use the /button command in their scripts, to assign unused buttons. For example when you drive a formula car, you have a spare horn button and you might want to use that for the pit speed limiter.

New LFS script system :

- Place text file of commands xxx.lfs in script folder
- Then script xxx.lfs can be run by typing /run xxx
- Note : CAR.lfs is run when you select CAR e.g. XFG, BF1
- Note : autoexec.lfs is run when LFS reaches entry screen

New text commands added (see Commands.txt in docs folder) :

Quote :The people who are qualifying with less durable sets get waaaay slower during the races, and I can keep up the pace from start to finish with incredible lap time stability.

That's one problem with Inferno sets..I believe a lot of them are WR sets made mostly for hotlapping 1-2 laps. On 10+ lap races my tires are burnt to a crisp and my times drop drastically. Very good point you have in making a good tire setup.

Quote from teaz-R :So on an average track where your pb would be around 1:30 your setup is giving you about 30 secs advantage over a bad setup?

I'm sorry but I don't quite agree to that.

I'd say more like 5% (would be 4,5 secs on that given track) could be gained with a setup, if the previous set was at least a half reasonable one (say race_s for example).

Practice practice practice...

Why are you relating percentage to seconds? If that's the case then your 5% setup gives 95% ability. Which with your reasoning means you get a 95 second advantage. Makes no sense. These percents have no correlation to seconds.
