Maddolan didn't make it look as if he was going to pit, so it's his own doing. Should have kept a tighter line to the right from the get go. I'm disappointed that he got a meaningless penalty out of this. Perez, whyyyyyyyy?! Stop doing small-time dumb shit. How hard can it be to brake in a straight line on a straight road :s

No, no. Not a drift meter, sorry It measures _longitudinal_ slip instead of lateral slip angle. I'm purdy sure there are some actual drift meters on the official forum's modding section, if not already in-game by default. Think of it more as a traction control indicator. Anything past "" means that you're spinning the rears too much.

If anyone is legitimately going to try it at some point, values of 2000, 3000 & 6000 in the config work better than the current defaults.

Edit: This is the same thing, but now it uses lateral slip angle (= drift angle).

I was looking for a way of analysing longitudinal tyre slip datas. One thing led to another, and I ended up making a small mod. Look in the top left corner

Quote from TFalke55 :You shouldn't take a look into Japenese if you think English has no grammer

Dunno. I would say that the particle system that can be complicated, but once you crack that, the changing word order shouldn't be that difficult to overcome because it relies on the particles. Japanese has only three time related tenses, simple plurals, no gender benders. Conjugation of adjectives and verbs isn't as hard as say, Spanish, imo.

[offtopic]Unlike some other Asian languages like Cantonese, Mandarin & Vietnamese, it's much easier to speak because of fewer pitch levels. Both kana systems can be crammed in a total of two weeks flat, and then it's "just" a matter of brute-forcing the 3-5k kanji, a lot of which are simpler than Chinese ones. [/offtopic]

At least Vetl didn't get pole. I hope that Crashjean gets a good start, what is the point in wrecking into the "monkeys at the back".

The pit incidents were rather awful, perhaps there needs to be a rule that a car must stay in the box with nobody touching it for at least 1-2 seconds once all work on it has been done. In order to allow for reaction time, or something. Shame that Ricciardo couldn't convert his great pole into anything. Master strategists at work at Lotus again. Nice last few laps, and a darned shame that Hamilton wasn't able to keep the lead off the start.

Mercedes had been doing well in all races between their test and the latest tyre regulation changes, it's still not possible to call it either way in terms of the test or these changes.

Well, that was a massive cock-up by Mercedes. Rosberg could potentially have qualified in front of Vettel, which would have been great. Vettel lost his chance for the pole on his own though, when he went wide in T1. Well played by Ricciardo. Interdasting to see where the Ferraris and Lotii end up at the end of the race.

From what I've seen, the steel/kevlar belts are cross-plied. The orientation of the belts would indeed be different.

If the rear left is swapped with the rear right, without turning them 180 degrees as well, surely the inside will be on the outside.

If both the rear tyres are the wrong way around, are they still not in symmetry with each other?

"They don't" is a statement that expresses no doubt.

The compounds are the same, but whether the internal construction is as well, I don't know. It would make sense from a manufacturing perspective.

All kerb & debris related punctures, thankfully nothing wrong with Pirelli's tyre construction.
