There is a sliding menu at the right edge of the screen, while on track. It's really annoying with mouse steering..

There were definitely no bursts, and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary with respect to PB messages. I had a quick look on LFSW to see what PBs I drove yesterday, it seems accurate. Having said that, I had been driving for a long while and got a couple of PBs before noticing it. I don't know when it started so it's impossible for me to tell whether yesterdays PBs happened during the time the commands were not working.
Strange inconsistency in reported PBs between client and LFSW.

Just joined a server with RAC@FE2R quali and did some laps.

1st lap - Outlap.
2nd lap - 1:20.43 - no LFSW message.
3rd lap - 1:19.42 - no LFSW message.
4th lap - 1:19.64 - no LFSW message.
5th lap - 1:18.44 - strangeness ensues.

Approximately 100m before the finish line on lap 5, I get the message "LFSW - New RAC PB by NotAnIllusion: 1:20.43 (-58:39.57)". Can't see it in the picture, because it's not showed in the replay. Anyways, I was approximately at the location shown in the picture. (attachment 1).

Then I cross the finish line and see the correct lap time on screen, 1:18.44 (attachment 2).

Moments later I get the LFSW PB message for the 1:19.42 lap (attachment 3)

I never received the PB message for the 1:18.44 lap.

LFSW shows the correct PB, but no splits (attachment 4).

OT: LFSW was also not responding to /w and /ws commands yesterday evening.

Bind failed means that the port is in use by another program. The obvious solution is to use a different port. Binding shouldn't be affected by the Windows firewall anyways (but access to/from a bound port is affected). Most torrent clients allow the user to set a range of ports, pick some other range that doesn't use your InSim port.

But he did block twice (barely, and it looked as if it was more down to controller sensitivity than intent) in the second clip!! One of the most pointless "high profile" nerd-rages ever. In fact, I'm literally surprised that the guy ahead kept his racing line cleanly every single time. If there was someone leaning on the horn lap after lap for that, "escorting" them out for a x2 would start to feel very tempting

You need to either rev match or manual clutch when you shift down. I'm using manual clutch and can shift down anytime I want. The TC on the Caddy is horrible, pick a different car.

Eh, "calibration" is a mess. Support mouse; jk, don't support mouse buttons. So then I configurated left and right mouse buttons as shift up/down with the virtual joystick method and it worked. Except I don't see a way to turn off LMB steer-lock while on track :| Mouse scrollwheel button instead of LMB to shift up works, but is very awkward to use.. Am I also seeing right that there is no way to adjust the linearity of mouse steering (only linear sensitivity)?

But hey, it's working.

Quote from e2mustang :it starts but than thats it,you cant play with mouse or kb which is bullshit

I did have a brief go with mouse and keyboard a long time ago. It can be done by creating a virtual joystick with ppJoy, and then using a GlovePIE script to assign mouse axes and keyboard buttons to the virtual device.

When I tried it, I think I used ppJoy's own config interface which is rubbish. GlovePIE is much better. Also, I remember that it required a lot of alt-tabbing out to turn the script on and off to navigate menus, not to mention calibration being annoying. In theory though, it may be possible to get it usable. I use my mouse & keyboard as a wheel & pedals in nKP, GTL/GTR/2 and (sometimes) LFS, and it works perfectly. Even better than perfectly, because it allows easy fine-tuning of axis sensitivity..

The snow on the roads must have melted though. I'd like to see the hill next to the BBC building / dorms get all frozen, it'd be hilarious I reckon.

Quote from polepositiondriver :Keiichi Tsuchiya uses drifting and still manages to hold out ahead in the togue races which seems beneficial in areas where the track is quite small and narrow.

We must have been watching a different BM show. I've seen pretty much every episode of BMI/Hot version (but not all domestic BMs) and almost never seen him drift in touge races.

Well. Unfortunately LFS' autocross area isn't large enough to make a 1:1 of the TG track. Pretty much every section would need quite a bit of tweaking. The way TG's hotlaps are edited makes it seem a shorter track than it is.
