Really? That's not what I got from reading that thread If the cars in LFS don't behave as they're supposed to when applying the e-brake, then surely it is LFS' fault? Or am I missing something?
I don't want an invite for this, though. I can't see how it would be useful for me. I barely ever send emails, and when I do it's usually only to 1 person so...
You're absolutely right, but this review was done by SimRacingTonight, which is focused on that particular niche market. Sure, they discuss less hardcore sims as well, but I would say it's fair to say that a great part - if not the majority - of their audience are simracing "geeks" (as you like to call them).
That being said, my post had nothing to do with whether or not FM3 is a hardcore sim, because we all know it's not. I just said that I think that review gave too high a score, nothing more. I also said that I'm aware that any review is just someone's personal opinion and as such is subjective to personal taste. I'm just stating my opinion - being that I think those scores are too high -, that's all
I have to agree that that review seems a bit too "generous". Of course, some things depend on how you interpret them. Like "Most realistic clutch in a game". Surely they mean a console game? In which case they should have explicitly said it. "Ultra sim everything"? Again, surely they're just talking about console games? Graphics 9.5/10? That seems a bit much as well. I don't find that review to be representative in any way. Then again, in the end a review is just one (or several) person's opinion of a game and as such is usually not 100% objective
Look, if you're not willing to try it out for yourself then you shouldn't argue over this The rear of the car does go down when pulling the handbrake whilst moving forward, and vice versa.
I'm also not entirely sure if the handbrake just activates the rear brakes. It could be but somehow I would find it hard to believe in the case of brake discs.
The US was already bankrupt when he became president. I wonder why. Maybe the billions and trillions of dollars spent on unnecessary wars that can't be won, started by Bush, have something to do with that.
Those wars were started by Bush years ago so again, not exactly his fault, is it? If it were up to Obama I'm sure he'd have the US troops pull out. It's ignorant rednecks that ****ed the US up with the help of Bush, and it's the same ignorant rednecks who are now blaming everything that's wrong with the US on Obama. It's just sad.
They should let the reviews be done by people who actually know what they're doing. This guy is a complete tard who can't drive for shit and probably doesn't know the first thing about vehicle dynamics and whatnot.
I definitely notice some stuttering as well at some points. Never during the menu parts, but once he gets in the car and the race starts there is some stuttering going on here and there. I don't think it's the game itself, though, 'cause that would be absolutely unacceptable.
The problem is, though, that the lights don't actually project any light. They're basically just a kind of dds layer over the normal headlights. So at night they'd be completely useless, you probably wouldn't even see them.
That being said, night racing can be a blast. I've done it a number of times in the HistorX mod for rFactor and it's brilliant.
Hmm, since you guys didn't seem to know what I was talking about I went and did a few tests in the XFG with open difs and sure enough, the skidding sounds don't occur. So it was due to the setups having a closed diff after all, like you said
If you didn't know what clamp knobs were why were you replying to a question relating to a problem with the clamp knobs?
Besides, the OP said multiple times that "the shifter works fine but the wheel doesn't" or something similar so you could have guessed that it was not about the shifter
