I really don't like those comments that bmw sucks etc. Even if you don't like these cars, keep it for your mind. Posting such things in this topic is just sick jealous bullshit
Add some info please about setups, times (maybe better not...), anything
Even if he can't drive it, he can play with bunch electronics in car in garage.
Wonder if his father is pleasing him to drive a little... "ok daddy, but don't press 'M' button!"
Some features in LFS are being discussed to be banned, due to non-realism (too many setup options for road cars etc.).
I thought about something which is easy and realistic: ability to change rims/tires specs in setup.
I mean ability too change every point of '225/50 R16' (like in lfstweak) plus some styles of rims for personal taste.
To avoid stupid wheels dimensions it could be restricted in-game or by server side. Well, for now differences could be small and for sure it will bring up some monkey exploits used by hotlappers... But, if we got many DIFFERENT tracks it will be useful.
Now only little changes would help, and I'm sure we will set different sized tires for SO/RallyX/WE.
What do you think?
ps. if in this moment you are going to request 24" blink blink chrome spinnerz, do not repost
UF1 is slowest car in LFS, and would be one of the slowest in real, so where is the point to suggest sporty cabrio (by Sketchyrollin564) as competitor for UF1?
It is absurd because: number_of_laps = n_times_mazda_passes_uf1 My gues is that Sketchy lost a street race with mx-5 guy
I said its 'a kind of legend'. It was the best small cabrio for many years, so I think in cabrio world it can an icon.
For sure it is not in my neighbourhood. There are 2 mx-5, one was my friends, which was ricer all the way (and people reactions where: he looks like gay in that car), and second is used as 'L' training car for driving licesne practise
Some data(driver incar): __________________________UFR (on reverse)____FZR
weight dist. on powered wheels __62,6%___________63,4%
power/weight ratio ___________272hp/ton_______425hp/ton
peak G force (race_s, R3) ______~1,28G___________~1,25G
FZR has also 2x wider tires...
Another weirdos are:
- UF1 has 10sec 0-100km/h
- there's no need to control throttle. you go perfect with lot of spinning. as well with road tires, as with slicks.
It was mentioned several times to implement rubbered race-line, which gives more grip.
It's of course good idea, but... does rubbered track really increase grip ratio? I found in old (1986) racing book in chapter about braking something interesting.
Author says, that in first laps the grip in brake-zone is great, but in the end of the race there is thin coat of 'rubber sand' from tires, which greatly decreases grip in such places (where tires are wearing out).
Anybody know whats going on? Is it about different ingredients in tires from 20 years past?
I think car manufacturer sets up a low fuel warning so high, not because some customers don't have fuel station for 100km in any direction, but for car health.
If you have 98% air in fuel tank, a water from air can be 'exported' (?) when ambient temperature is changing. It is not good for engine to run on water. Also fuel pomp may heat-up and breake. So cunning engineers put a pressure on you to fuel a tank earlier, than it is needed for simple driving another kilometres.
Even in fiat uno from '97 is computer. It gets the data (to know how much fuel he should drink) from throttle position, throttle opening speed, lambda, intake air temp, water temp, engine revs...
If some sensors fail, computer gets the default data for certain situation from his 'data tables'.
I think cars got computers in engines with single point injection, but not sure.
In Poland 'pedal' is used also as ugly nick for gay 'Pedal Power' lol, don't put it on t-shirt
Anyway, I saw a test of some cars OBC about avarage fuel consumption.
They got what OBC says and compared to real numbers from their own math.
Nearly all cars said that av. fuel cons. was higher then IR by some 0,x litres.
Only VW lied for over 1litre/100km down in OBC (!) It was Golf IV if I remember. If other data about them is also true as this, it's clear why many people still think it's best compact car
