Quote from Crashgate3 :If people are that bothered about drifting, they can do it in the XRG. Hell, they can even drift the FBM as if it floats their boat that much, as it's RWD.

Meanwhile, the product that is meant to show off what LFS can do (the demo) is able to show the kinds of things possible a whole lot better.

Indeed, lets not forget demo is short for demonstration, and I feel the demo now shows off what LFS is much better than before.

Are they going to be used as PC speakers? I wouldn't go 5.1 if you plan on mostly listening to music, something in the 2.1 sector like the Megaworks I have can be found for around £50 in the UK now, however they are discontinued.

For computer use alone they are one of the best 2.1 systems you can get sub £100, which for me is good enough.

Quote from bryanviper :No point in 4gb of ram, thats a waste unless your doing some serious graphics/video editing which you are not going to be doing and even then 2gb is more then enough.

With some $$ you save from the ram, get a better video card.

Also what PSU do you have? If its not good enough you will have to buy a new one to handle everything.

Tbh for the price ram is now, I'd go for 4GB (and defo 2 sticks of 2GB). I do do heavy (2D just) graphics work and I can tell you the more ram the better. A largish (1600*1000) image with 20 or 30 layers useless I large amount of memory I can tell you.

Either way the point I'm trying to make is you would literally only save about $40 by going with 2GB compared to 4GB.

Quote from mr_x :i only fill up with £10 at a time because that's all I can afford. I get paid on a weekly basis and I'm on minimum wage, and £10 of petrol a week does me nicely. Does it not cross your mind that's maybe all people can afford at any 1 time?

Indeed, so what's the difference between that, and saving the £10 a week until you need to fill up, then filling up fully with the saved money. = less trips to the station.

This is not aimed at you specifically mr x, but it seems a lot of people here are very quick to accuse others of, for want of a better word, abusing their wealth etc (many threads worth of harjun bashing springs to mind).

Oh goody, just as I get home and can use my car for the first time in 10 weeks.

Also I always have a chuckle at people who put £5/£10/£20 of petrol in their car - what's the point?! You're only going to have to fill it up sooner than if you filled it up to the brim, so why don't you? Fill up with the amount you need, not according to the amount of money in your pocket. Furthermore if you have to go out of your way to get to a petrol station then surely you use more petrol traveling to and from filling up. Never understood it myself.

The steam servers are fast. I've downloaded CS:S (1.6gb) from them at over 80Mbps (took about 3 minutes) before.

You'd be better off getting a pack of 2x2GB of better quality stuff, which will be cheaper than the Kingston stuff you've linked to.

I've used som file recovery programs before - Handy Recovery I think was the best one I used, and it didn't realyl have any trouble restoring files long after I had deleted them and used the PC. Depends where they are on the drive I suppose.

Quote from HellBoy99 :get 22"

Geez u don't need 24" because it might be too much to focus on.

And massive price difference

Err wtf? Think about what you are saying, then maybe think about it again, then refrain from making useless comments.

Quote from DeKo : On an up to 24 meg service with bethere i get about 9 meg, which works out to be ruffly 900kb/s, which i think is ****ing awesome considering im a 15 minute walk away from the exchange.

You only get 9 meg from a mile away? Crazy, I must be closer to the exchange than I thought, I get about 16 meg.

Quote from spookthehamster :It probably means it'll be like old games like Flight Unlimited. Clicking on different objects in your "house" will open different things. For example, clicking on your key cabinet lets you choose the plane you want to fly.

Now THAT was oldskool - quality game though

Quote from Shotglass :i dont really see how it could be more stable than an os which in god knows how many years of usage only crashed a handful of times on me with all of those being thanks to the graphics drivers

Well it's crashed on me less times than XP, thus in my eyes in more stable. Bearing in mind I use some VERY stable systems everyday, I don't actually consider Vista stable, just moreso than XP.

Vista's OK I guess. No worse than XP - more stable definately. Then again I very rarely use Windows at all these days.

Burnout 2 was, and always will be, the best

And yep I've played them all - a lot.

IIRC sure cable doesn't suffer from transmission loss over distance so it should always connect at 10Mbit.

Try downloading from several locations simultaneously to test the max speed. Most servers are pretty good these days, but I usually have to d/l from 2 or 3 to max out my 24mbit connection.

edit: I see Motorola is yet another company who own the world's slowest servers. Another utter joke of a support website. n1 Motorola.

This xmas I'm most looking forward to being back home with all my best friends and having a great, and relaxed time

I never know what to ask for xmas, just a subscription to a magazine or something will do me.

Sorry to go OT but

Quote from mcintyrej :LOL. -50 degrees doesn't occur anywhere but liquid nitrogen. I doubt Harjun is getting some of that for christmas! Harjun, overclocking isn't limited by temperatures, i think your CPU will fart out before you get even 4.0Ghz.

Do us the favor of not mentioning a word about what you've done, it will make this place a happy place!

You're just as bad as him. I've read a few of your posts recently where you clearly display you know jack about PCs, yet you continue to rip the piss out of Harjun. In fact, he is actually correct in what he's saying - you are not.

How ironic.

Maybe stop 'LOL'ing and do some research.

Haven't heard of them - but there are loads of Ferrari (mainly 355) replicas made using Toyota MR2s as bases etc.
