Nah mine's not cracked. There are loads of good free apps from the iTunes store, of course there are some better/different ones for the cracked phone, but I don't need or want them.

I don't know if you can access the app store on a cracked phone, but it really is stunningly simple to use, very well thought out.

You don't have to buy music from iTunes to put it on, it can be any music you've got. The only thing I don't like is synchronisation - I much prefer drag and drop for music etc, but that's a smallish disadvantage.

Quote from mr_x :I'd consider a Nokia N95 or even one of the newer ones N97 I believe they're up to now.

My N95 is excellent in just about every way, haven't yet found a single fault with it. Took a long time to get used to after a Sony Ericsson, but now i'm used to it I can confidently say the N95 is the best phone I've owned.

I've used an iphone before and they're awful! Plus the fact it's made by apple is a huge downside - It'll break as soon as the warrenty expires in traditional apple form. (but I may be biased).

How are they awful exactly?

I used to like Nokia a lot, as in I made sure all my new contract phone were Nokia, however the iPhone just blows them out of the water.

The main problem I can find people complaining about is the touch keyboard, for texting etc. Well, I gave it to my dad to try, who isn't great at texting anyway, within 2 minutes he was bashing out messages faster than ever before. As can I, you can rinse through messages much fast than a non-correcting hardware keypad, the correctional function really is brilliant.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :My netgear one has been nothing but trouble free usage for the last year.

+1 that, I used to use a Netgear one which was on a USB cable so you could move it around a bit, WG121 I think, no problems whatsoever.

Quote from harjun :i just wanna know where i can buy this £180 iphone which i've seen in the iPhone 3G advert on TV

Why don't you try looking then? Last time I heard there where 2 places that sold it, O2 and Carphone Warhouse. I got mine (ages ago when it came out) from Carphone Warehouse as I got £60 cashback.

iPhone every time. I looked hard at the HTC when buying mine and there really isn't any contest, Windows Mobile made me sick everywhere.

I'm not saying you're wrong at all, I can well imagine it's not running correctly judging by other posts here. I have had that problem you described a few times before though, it's not PE's fault however.

Quote from Albieg :As for Microsoft being the cause of some problems, I don't really know and don't really think so. While troubleshooting I fired up my Task Manager replacement, that is Process Explorer written by Mark Russinovich, by Sysinternals (now owned by Microsoft), a legitimate piece of software used to investigate PC issues. It turns out SecuROM won't let me start the game if it detects Process Explorer running... and it even asks for a reboot! This is pure bull. They won't let me investigate possible troubles with a legitimate Microsoft software commonly and widely used for professional troubleshooting. This is insulting.

This is a well known problem with PE and SecureROM, it's been happening for years... I say well known, I mean if you use PE regularly.

Quote from piggy501 :Because an iPhone gains ultimate respect as far as I have observed. Walk into a room and say "I have a new iPhone" and the room goes quiet.?

Haha the other night I was out and 3 people commented on it.

On a side note I also noticed the iPhone is stunningly resistant to scratches and dirt. I'm often at the UK's filthiest club (Jesters, Southampton) and the other day it came back covered in crap, as you'd expect really. But took a damp cloth to it the next day and it buffed up as good as new

Thanks EK, this is really cool. I spent many many hours on the original TIM back in the day, this brings back good memories, and it's done very well too. Great stuff

Toxic Waste. That stuff should be illegal, don't ever try and eat a whole 'drum' if you like the skin in and around your mouth. Damn it's good though.

I don't believe for one second that you can't find anything you could possibly want on the internet. The LFS Forum however is not the place.

Quote from thisnameistaken :I'm thinking about restarting my game and running a chess clock to log what proportion of time I actually spend in control of the character and how much is taken up by endless ****ing cutscenes.

Skip the cutscenes, boring as ****. Just blaze through the missions, who needs a story line anyway, not me.

Not a chav... pretty boy is a better term. Classic haircut, clothes etc. Not that I've got anything against it, used to have a few friends like that who helped me out a couple of times in clubs etc.

Thing is, apart from sniping and pistol in 1 etc Halo is so damn inaccurate, as it's set up for a gamepad, that I'd guess using a mouse wouldn't have a great benefit. Perhaps moreso in CoD, I don't know.

Quote from M.Mos :I regret i bought it. It's close to unplayable for me and don't look good. Have a [email protected] / 2GB Ram / Gtx280 / Wxp. Well Crysis runs okay on my rig.

Unplayable on a GTX280? Not good news.

I've noticed the 2.3L Duratecs are becoming quite popular for both N/A and turbo applications.

Also this is going to be awesome when finished. Proper oldskool.

This is classic, we couldn't have run-what-you-brung drag events this year on a local airstrip due to 'noise'... It's an active airstrip for gods sakes.

Either way I'm not sure this kind of petition is the way to solve this.

Quote from Migz :Dont bother with flash on websites, its reallyy pointless.
Just deisgn your site in photoshop, and export it to a website editor. Frontpage works great. As long as you have got the skills you can make awesome websites using just photoshop and frontpage.

It's people like you that mean I get more work redesigning sites. Thank you

Quote from unseen :HTML/XML/CSS ftw, until it isn`t allowed anymore. javascript also as long as you have a failsafe fallback that provides the same functionality as the scripted version in case someone doesn`t choose to allow it.

Mmm it's all about building for your audience.

For example if you're building a microsite for a brand, flash often works well where low functionality is needed.

If you're building a modern web application you'd be hard pushed to support non-Javascript users.

If you're building a geek news site, do you really have to support IE6?

All things you have to think about before choosing your tools. Statistics and experience are what is needed here. I'm currently working on a fairly large web application, and a video news site. We can't afford to design around the <1% of users that have Javascript turned off for such a large application project. However we know that 13% of our users of the news site are still using IE6, so support for that is needed. (He says as he struggles to make IE6 conform as usual).
