The way I see it, I enjoy playing WoW because I don't have 29 solid days to multibox a char up a level. If I can do a couple of levels a day that suits me fine. Call it kiddy, call it what you want, there's a reason it has 11 million players (or whatever).

Quote from Jakg :I am using one mahosive Oak dining table - supposedly very expensive, but as it is you need a big ass desk to hold 3 monitors lol

Yep lol, at home I have a custom desk built in and around my wall structure, at my Southampton house I just have a massive slab of cheap-as-hell veneered chipboard. Just about has enough space, depth is the main issue I have. Enough space for the computer parts is fine, but then you need to double that if you want to lay paperwork out

Uni desks used to be the best though, could get about 6 monitors onto that badboy

Quote from Shotglass :
btw the supposedly great HP LP2475w which a lot of people seem to like is useless... all 5 models that ive seen at work have a very noticeavle shadow on the bottom and on the right the first one i got had a colour ramp from green to red across which is quite common apparently the colour presets are useless and no amount of tweaking can get rid of the oversaturatedness of it

That's a shame, my latest revision LP2465 is great. The 2475 is an IPS panel isn't it?

We're never gona end this, so let's have the best of both worlds: http://www.essexracing.com/product_info.php?products_id=1149

RS8 bodykit for a Mondeo - WTF. Moreover what even is an RS8?!

My Ford broke down again the other day, clutch cable again for the 3rd time in 2 years, oh well getting pretty quick at changing them now.

Haha Uplink was a classic game, if a little tedious.

I liked the epic-ness of the Halo 1 final scene personally.

Quote from Dygear :The PS3 a pretty heavy up front investment but it works out cheaper when compared to the XBOX360 as the online is free.

I guess... The price difference in the UK seems to be around £100, which is 3 years of live subscription.

I've had my 360 for I guess about 6 months now, never had any problems with it whatsoever.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Why? Because Fallout 3 crashes every 10 seconds and if Bestheda think I'm paying money for the privelage of my computer crashing, they have another think coming!

Another quality justification from S14. Good work.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :This forum disgusts me. Why does ****ing everything haffto be centered around sex. I know like the whole forum will now scream at me and call me gay, but ****ing come on! I have a (self-admitting) nymphomanical girlfriend, yet we can have perfectly normal time spent together, even cuddling and watching movies without requiring sex.

It's like all of you people are lonely nerdy virgins, therefore everything that involves a girl must be complemented with a healthy dosage of sex. I'm sorry but you people are just ****ing retarded with that logic.

EDIT: The last quote is irrelevant, it's just ****ing disgusting.

/end rant.

Mate you know what the audience of a racing game is like. Mostly lonely nerdy virgins. It's a waste of time even trying to have a sensible conversation about women here. If you think this is bad though, try somewhere that doesn't have so many kids, Mens Health for example, some of the replies there are hilarious. Utterly useless, but hilarious.

Yep defo agree with that. Now moved onto pear cider, you can rinse through that like it's juice (WRONG mentality).

Quote from Jakg :What stopping you making your own insurance company and then giving yourself free-insurance?

Around £4M collateral.

Actually I have no idea if that's true or not, someone once said it to me.

You can listen to most all web radio streams using FStream for the iPhone.

I'm pretty sure no-one has ever made a useful video call ever. And I do mean ever.

It's always hard to receive a torrent of criticism for a project like this, but ultimately, this is your audience (in this case at least, as your desired user-base is highly unspecific), so if you want it to work, constructive criticism should be taken on board.

If nothing else, it'll be an insight into how hard it is to make these things work.

For most people on jobseekers etc, the idea is you have to be looking for work to be eligible. How well enforced that is, I don't know.

Quote from Bladerunner :What lag?? Never noticed anything...was pretty quick zapping from one thing to another.

Cool cool, when it came out every reviewer was mentioning how transitions were clunky and slow, they then released firmware updates which claimed to help, but I can't remember if people agreed.

So basically it's just a loosely moderated forum?

I once had a similar idea, although mine was a web application concept rather than just a forum, but then I actually thought about it, and realised how pointless it would be

Quote from Bladerunner :Bump...The Diamond is great...just love it!!
The touch screen scrolling is a bit weird until you get used to it, by once you get the hang of it, everything becomes very easy indeed!

Have they sorted out the massive interface lag now? One thing that put me right off when I was looking at them.

Quote from rich uk :Also think of the revenue of the crime syndicates and organized gangs that would loose out?

This point struck me. How is that a good thing? It just changes the source of the problem, possibly with worst consequences.

I don't know, I'm not for it becoming legal, but it's not a subject I'm either passionate, or knowledgeable about so I'll leave it at that.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :I'm not sure how long you've been actively involved in the forums, but if it was for any length of time you'd know that our dear harjun has a habbit regarding talking about money like it's nothing.

Great, and you follow up nearly every one of his posts as if money is everything. I find that considerably more annoying than him taking it lightly.

Quote from gezmoor :The iPhone looks alright, but I'd only get one if I really had to have an iPod, (which I already have so it would be pointless for me), as they are actually quite bulky/heavy phones with not very good battery life. Although I must admit I do really like the interface so it has to be the size it is I guess.

True about the battery life, it's wank TBH. My old N73 used to get a good week or so on a charge, more under light usage. I'm only getting a couple of days from the iPhone, more often than not having to charge it every day. But then I guess I do use it more, for more battery draining things

Quote from dawesdust_12 : these hour "backups" that happen in small cases of iPhone/iPod Touch

Is that because error reporting was on? I turned mine off after reports of it speeding up backup a lot. Still takes ages though.
