Nah most TVs still use TNs, I would guess a 32" full HD panel doesn't cost much more to make than a 24", perhaps less even.

Current setup.

No wheel, haven't used it for months. In fact if anyone wants a free MOMO they can probably have it, it's just getting in the way.

Duno why the forum has decided to rotate the picture, it's fine on my computer.

Match your screen to your requirements.

If you sit 3 meters away from the screen and play games/watch movies, the bigger screen is better.

If you (like me) sit 50cm away from the monitor, and require desktop real-estate, a higher resolution smaller screen is better.

I would never use a TV screen for everyday PC use. There are people who do, I wouldn't.

No advice to give myself, just wanted to say it shouldn't be too difficult. I definitely plan to do this myself one day soonish. After spending a month there in the summer I came back to England thinking there isn't a lot that I prefer over here. Other than all my friends etc.

Learn to enjoy your life ffs

Well it's good to hear it from someone whos had a lifes worth of experience. Oh wait, no, you're just a fool.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :To be honest, the only part I disagree with is the cut off at safe noise levels thing. But to be frank, people know the dangers with loud music. If someone wishes to risk injuring themselves, and pay money for the priveledge, then I say let them go and enjoy themselves.

I agree with this, I suspect the ban isn't to protect people outside of the venue is it?

Quote from S14 DRIFT :What does need to be done, is to implement something (this is active in America, along the Miami Beach). Apparently, if a policeman can hear your radio from X distance, it's either a $xxx fine or you have to go to the judges chambers for 2 hours and listen to classical music. Nothing else, just yourself in a chair, and the stereo. That would work and be far more effective than putting a noise limit in concert. Then people would just hook up a microphone to a Max-Power car and have a portable concert..

Just lol at the America part.

Quote from gezmoor :I have to say that is one thing I find incredibly annoying with Windows. The damn OS keeps interupting what I am doing by bringing tasks that I've got working in the background in to the foreground whenever they finish. I lost count decades ago at the number of times I've clicked on something that was in the background when I've been trying to type an email or document or something in the foreground and Windows forces the background task in to my face ! I HATE IT !! MS Please if you change one thing about your OS change that .. it drives me up the wall !!!

Lol yep.

ALWAYS classic was the old MSN messenger that allowed nudges. You'd be banging your password or whatever into a website and someone would nudge you meaning you type the rest of it into MSN. Good thinking m$.

I haven't replied here as I haven't actually tried it yet, and won't be bothering, pertly due to lack of time, but mainly because I can't be arsed.

However I thought I'd just pop my head round the door and say Windows has always been unnecessarily obtrusive, balloon popups for things that have gone right for example. I don't need to know it it's gone without a problem, I only want to know if there is a problem. To. Much. Hassle.

The Eclipse II used to be £25, which is quite cheap as they go. Duno why it's now £40 on Amazon, it's worth about half that.

The Eclipse II is quite cheap, but it feels cheap too. It depends what you need really, if you do a lot of typing perhaps an ergo keyboard would be better.

As far as mice go, I've always liked my Logitech MX518, I know a lot of other people here have them too. Most of the Razers are good, and a selection of other Logitechs.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Lol unfinished mod + rFactor = fail!

Jesus christ you are a joke.

Why don't you try and expand your vocabulary beyond the word 'fail'. I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone here when I say we're sick of it.

Why would anyone listen to your opinions anyway, you've played the demo for 5 mins whilst you were copying 30GB of junk across, great.

In reverse chronological order:

Few groceries I forgot from yesterdays shop this morning
Weekly shop yesterday
Train ticket on Wednesday
Bus ticket on Wednesday
Basshunter live tickets on Tuesday
A load of alcohol on Monday
Internet/phone bill on Monday

The alcohol and Basshunter tickets were the only luxuries this week

So the official Windows 7 beta release is due out soon, will anybody be trying this?

From what I can gather they've concentrated on touch screens (bit pointless as the % population that have touch screens is 0), a marginally different shell skin and 'performance'.

Quote from Wikipedia :Peek is a quick way of making all visible windows transparent for a quick look at the desktop. A Microsoft spokesman said that "this will be useful for users who want a quick look at the news" in reference to RSS gadgets on the desktop.

Well whoopy do Microsoft, wasn't that what the 'Show desktop' button was for in Windows 98? I swear they release statements like that just to make people laugh.

I hate m$ bashers as much as I'm sure you do, so you can proceed to hate me if you like - but seriously, what is the point in this release?

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I'm wondering where you were living before if you think moving back to Southampton is a good thing, Iraq?

Haha I used to live in a small town, which whilst being a very nice area, nothing really happened there, and all my friends are in Southampton so its more about who you're with than where you are kinda thing.

Also I have a years contract for this damn house up until June, if I didn't have that I would have moved a LONG time ago to somewhere where there's an actual decent amount of work for web designers etc.
