Quote from dawesdust_12 :However, looking at the Safari4 resource bundles (in Windows).. I notice this "mediaui.resources" with these very odd looking pdfs (in OSX, PDF's are sometimes used for Icons and resource images, as they can be as big or as small as needed)... I find it strange, as it looks like it doesn't belong... Or this is future planning for the next Quicktime update...

HTML5 media tags? Duno really. Shame HTML5 isn't going to be a standard until 2020 or something.

Quote from bbman :1. Get (or make) a SP3 install cd, normal XP either doesn't recognize HDDs over 250 gigs or can't make a partition over that size...
2. Make sure you set your SATA devices to be recognized as IDE in the BIOS or you will need a SATA driver for the XP-setup to find the HDD...

Ahh number 1 is a good point, but with the XP SP3 CD there won't be a problem with the SATA drivers I think, as they sorted it out by SP2.

Assuming you've got the drive plugged in etc -

Put the XP CD in
Go into the BIOS and make sure boot from CD is before boot from HD
Save and exit the BIOS
Follow the instructions to boot from the CD
Follow the instructions in the Windows setup
Create 2 partitions using NTFS (Quick), one 200GB, the other using the remaining space (~440GB)
Continue to follow the instructions

You can't go too far wrong really. If you have an XP Service Pack 2 or better CD it'll be straightforward. If not, you *may* have to install SATA drivers for your motherboard. You may have been given a floppy disc with your motherboard with the drivers on, or you may have to download them and put them on one. You then need to press F6 when prompted during setup. Hopefully you won't have to bother with this though.

More like 10p per mile.

But what we've seen here is it's still cheaper overall to use cheaper stuff at the pump. I'm at home atm Jack so I'll dig out the EVO article.

I've had it since the days when you could only sign up with a university email address and have never had any problems with spam stuff. Only add people you trust I guess.

Haven't had any connection problems with it lately tbh, maybe try clearing your cache etc.

Completed this today (67%) with 6 hours 3 mins on the timer. I liked it a lot, especially the integration with Niko in certain missions. Could have done with being a bit longer though I think.

No I have no repayments on anything I own. I have enough money going out every month in bills etc without the need for more on finance.

Quote from zeromussov :I have a Samsung 245b Plus monitor. Almost the same I think... and I love it.

Only thing is the viewing angle, especially vertically. But, even with that I would buy this one again. So, yeah... it's a good buy IMO.

Classic TN. But I guess with PC monitors most people do look at them straight on so viewing angles aren't a massive issue. Colour reproduction on the other hand...

You can disable the file indexing service if you like, that should reduce HD access a fair bit. Plus its crap.

Quote from squidhead :A game, with no storyline (only the base setting) that has a sole purpose of making a player repetitevly pump his character for eternity... is better than stuff like KotOR or Mass Effect? I must say you should go to the sadness ratings with no postcount check

KotOR was actually one RPG that I couldn't put down. But it's just stuff like Fable, or Oblivion that get boring very quickly for me.

MMOs you play with human interaction, and you play to be the best. Sure 99% of it is grinding, but the 1% is far more fun than single player to me at least.

Duno where all this snow is - it's a beautiful day here, sunny, mild, and a nice fresh breeze. Completely dry roads too which is a nice change

Once we were parked up in a massive layby in America, next thing we hear an explosion, sounded a bit like a shotgun firing. Turns out there was an RV towing a car behind it, the car had electo-controlled brakes which had been constantly on, the alloys had got so hot they'd gone golden and as a result one of the tyres had literally exploded. Was pretty bizarre at the time.

For triple monitors shouldn't it be 16x and 4x? I'm not sure if that matters at all, but I think that's the best setup.

O2's 'unlimited' looks good, Sky's isn't too bad, Be seems to be the best though if you can get it. Something like 300GB/month which I never pass.

Most single-player RPGs aren't necessarily over-rated, they bore me. Just what's the point? What are you playing towards? MMOs are where its at.

I honestly don't see how playing LFS helps really. It doesn't teach you how your car reacts to sliding etc, only experience will. I reckon after about 3 years of driving my car I'm pretty confident of it's abilities and limitations, but LFS hasn't taught me that.

Quote from mclarenmatt :Yep I play on a 24" Monitor, even dropping to 1680x1050 doesn't really help the FPS

Pretty playable at 30 or so though isn't it? No idea what FPS I was getting @ 1920x1200 with my 8800GTS but it was almost legit.

f****** insurance !

I think the overall standard of driving in Ireland makes insurance a nightmare there. That is in no way a personal go at you, but it's pretty mental over there.
