Whoa I have a 5850... and a 9600gt knocking about too! Just reading about installing the 9600gt for PhysX, sounds like quite a good idea, did you have any problems?

There are no student discounts that I know of on trains in the UK - unless you have a student rail card.

I've used National Express before for a 2 hour journey, it does take a bit longer than the train but there were about 5 people on the whole coach so it wasn't crowded at all, and it was comfortable, plenty of space for bags etc (was going to the airport).

I like to record at 1280x720@30fps, edit the raw files then compress using h264 afterwards.

Do disconnect the battery, it's so easy to short things if you're not careful.

Yeah I cant seem to access the key server for Fuel Dirt2 has downloaded and works fine though, Grid is nearly finished too. Hopefully the load will ease up soon.

Picked up L4D2 the other day for about £13, although I think that's ended now.

I know some people are against steam, but they do sometimes have some great deals on!

I always fill up to the top, the way I see it I'm going to use it either way and this just saves me more trips to the petrol station

Bit of damp kitchen roll, then dry with a another piece, or a cloth that doesn't spread fibres everywhere. Never damaged a screen that way. As hazaky says, it's pretty difficult to break one using normal force.
