Yeah, but on public servers people pretty much demand that noobs know where to brake and drive immediately. As much as it hurts to say this, I think it may be a necessary evil.
I can understand you being angry and I can even understand why you'd protest from your point of view, but you need to learn to control your anger if you want to keep racing in events worth a crap.
Sometimes people get taken out in races; hell, it happens all the way up to MoE/IGTC. You have to realize that this race isn't your last race and there will always be more in the future. Just keep on practicing and driving and I'm sure it'll pay off in the last few rounds.
I got taken out a few laps later in this race, quite unexpectedly, but I didn't get mad at Boothy and call him names, I actually laughed at him when he flipped himself trying to put me right-side-up.
Also a note, if you intend on saying sorry to someone, don't follow it up with ", but...". Excuses water down the apology.
I did this because of M.Booth on the right. He went off track very violently and I was expecting him to re-join sideways or backwards and moves left instinctively. I moved left and lifted the throttle to be cautious about a car that could potentially dangerously rejoin the track.
You had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, didn't notice Boothy spinning around, and went for a rapidly closing gap instead of lifting in a dangerous situation. I would apologize but you called me a faggot after the race so I'm not really feeling all that sorry for you.
Yeah, when you're editing your name (or saying any message) press the down arrow to the left of the OK button. You can find the squared symbol towards the lower left of the characters. For me, the default language thing is "Latin 1". If you don't see the 2 for whatever you use, click the language name and change it to Latin 1.
Oh no doubt, Andy is blazing fast, but he still took the cheap route to get some WRs here. I think if we're going to be fair the proven fast guys should get just as much crap as the guys with 1 or 2 WRs.
As you said, "anyone within the community should know better."
Just because it's dishonest and cheap doesn't mean that's not how it's done. I haven't watched every single SO3 WR, but in all the ones I have seen the driver brakes waaaay to late, uses the wall to ditch speed and drives off to the finish.
I'm going to go and watch all the SO3 WRs now, should be fun.
EDIT: Seems I wasn't totally right. arrachee's, NickC's and Karolis's WRs seem to be "clean". Most of the other guys use the wall though.
While yeah, no one really cares about one guys first WR, pretty much every SO3 WR hits that wall. It's just how it's done. You can't beat the current WR doing it right.
I dunno if you're trying to imply something here or if you genuinely don't know, but Nvidia has always had more market share than ATI, same with Intel over AMD. This is true in the entire market, and the gamer segment.
If you're implying that because Intel and Nvidia both have around 65% market share that the systems are more than likely paired together most of the time, that's a pretty dangerous assertion to make.
The explanation for this skin is that I was looking for something with reference to "24". I had no intentions of going with the TV show and I ruled out Jeff Gordon for more than one reason. I eventually found the B-24 Liberator, and American bomber used in WWII. This particular one, "Strawberry Bitch" had the number '24' on it and was actually suitable (had a woman who *wasn't* naked for a change) so I chose it. The actual plane is pink because apparently it used to be beige but the sun faded it into a light pink. The pink is also where it got its name.
Some Valve games have automatic stuff sent (with the consent of the user) so all you have to do is hit "OK" and information about your hardware and drivers gets sent in for very accurate data logging. That would be the idea solution if a) there were more people around to do extra stuff like this and b) if it really mattered for anything.
