Did it the other way around more or less, did a bit of racing in the S1 times and S2 too (mainly with the FXR). Dunno, it was just trial and error for me... Racing is the thing though. Drifting community got waaaaaaaaaaay too weird. The golden times were in the S1 (early, late S1 was getting weirder, still a lot better than now).
Why is everybody so hyped over G25?? Get a MOMO, it's still a wheel, it's a very good wheel. G25 will be very hard to learn on since it's 900°. If you want that, try to get a DFP. Most drifters had to re-learn to drift when they got the DFP...

THe point of an SUV is that it 'can go' places normal cars can't (which SUVs also can't) and that it has lots of space for the surf, bike, soccer balls, etc.

And that doesn't work. It has to be either totaly open or paid for. It would be hard to find a way in the gray area and not get caught.
Looks very nice. But there's a problem. How would you get the talented people's content intot he game? I mean the game is not open for modding so it would have to be included by the devs. That would make it official. If it was open and stuff, then LFS would have to open up - then we have crackers and everybody would make crappy tracks and cars. You can't make it a closed deal for 10 people and not have it official. At least not how i see it. Would be great if it was possible.

I hope you haven't bought the 8800GTX yet. For LFS; i think it'd be best to get a Geforce 7 card (maybe used, a GTX or a GTO (downclocked GTX). Current AMDs (K8 architecture) can't really exploit the full Geforce 8 potential, you need a Core 2 Duo for that. And in some cases (especially LFS) even that would be too slow. Unless running 2 30' LCDs

Gunn my CF bike is glossy but that is painted over with a clear coat. i think racing car parts would be painted over because i think you really don't want to have the weave on the spoiler messing around with the aerodynamics. That's not a problem, as it was said, a bigger problem is the hologram effect. I could make some pics of my frame.
Would be usefull for sprint races but not for endurance racing. We should have an on/off optinon but we would need turbo/exhaust damage. Running with anti-lag for more than an hour or maybe two would destroy the turbo. So it couldn't be sued in an endurance race. WRC cars for example change exhaust and turbos whenever possible.
WAit, let me get this right. You took the slowest car from W (XRR), added the most weight and made it even slower. You took the fastest car and maybe added some weight and took down some HP. The FXR stays the same. Now please tell me, what did you do? Nothing. THe FXR would MAYBE be a bit closer to the FZR, but the XRR would be miles behind.
I have become an XRR driver (too many FXRs now) and it's a very nice car. Only a bit bitchey in 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear corners (AS National hairpins f.e.). If it has any weight added it would probably be a nice idea to move the weight a bit backwards.
The biggest problem would be the motherboard support. Getting only 1 type of the sensors chip is easy. but there are many many different chips used for all the sensors. Motherboard Monitor developer gave up because of the lask of info from the MOBO manufacturers. Do you think LFS devs have time for that WHILE coding the best sim in the world??

i drive a 55 bhp 10 year old Punto and i overheated the brakes after dunno, 5 hairpins on a downhill. The pedal got stiff as hell and the brakes didn0t brake much. And yes, they were overheated, badly. 10 minutes later (driving nicely on straights), stopping and opening the door i was welcomed by the smell of welding 
I think seatbelts would be a nice addition. It kind of makes me nervous seeing the driver not belted because i always 8and i mean always) wear a seatbelt in a car. i just don't feel safe without it. Dunno... 
TOCA is nowhere near GT4. more like Test Drive Unlimited i think.

There is no 'error' in the speedo. It jut reads the speed from the drivwshaft (like it should). And i think those gauges look werd and most of the people drive from the cockpit view so where will you put this digital speedo? Unrealistic... Learn to accelerate normally and not go over the speed limit :P
