You stole my idea!!!! I emntioned a FZ50 GTR Turbo in the cars for S3 thread. I came upon this idea watchin the Alzen Porsche on nordschleife while pedaling on my indoor bike :P Great idea though, love it.
The golden era for fast and exciting cars was 1990 to 2000. Most good cars were made in this time, now we are strangeled by emmisions. If you look, the RX-7, Skylines from R32 to R34, Supra, NSX and the likes were made back then. Now what do we have?
Weather is planned. I think there are other mroe important things right about now. First of all sound and then maybe a graphics update (not needed to be honest, i love the non-bloaty look of LFS and it works fast and looks VERY good with 8x AA/16x AF). I think we'll get weather in S3 but i'd be happy to get it before.
You can already switch R2s for R3s in the pits. And what did you think, changing the tyres while racing. This is a SIM :P
Subaru R2? I only know of the Prodrive P2, Impreza engine and drive train, bigger turbo, antilag system, improved center diff, based on a R1 i think (that's waht they said). The guy that did the Mclaren F1 also styled the P2. It's never going to productions but there are rumours it could be the 2008 Impreza WRX STi with a new body over that tech.
EDIT: Could a slicked and maybe a bit faster LX4 work with the UFR and XFR? Or is it too small? I'd also like to see a more powerful version of the FZ50 (well, the GTR mainly) and some cars to go with it. The FZR would be a turbo version (i confess, watched the Alzen Porsche onboard laps of the Nordschleife)
COD2 full has more bugs than LFS does now. Think of the Beta, 'click for shoot, crash, 'ARGH', restart the game, click to shoot, crash, etc.' ANd LFS is still alpha, not even beta :P And you want to know why it's alpha? Because all the features are not in it yet. It's no that it has bugs, it has some, but not much, the thing is Scawen still has some things to implement so he'll be able to say 'we have S2 now'. Then comes beta and then we get full S2, 0.6 (we now have 0.5).
That RBR has a flat 4 engine. Why?? FXR already has a flat 4. RB4 has an inline 4, why not use that in the GTR too. And this is really obviously photoshopped. IMO it wouldn't work too well, the rear spoiler couldn't really be adjusted. I'll try to find a real render, a modified model of the RB4.
The sounds are getting there. Only 1 compalint. Would it be possible to make the GTRs sound more feorcious? At the moment they sound like a little tiny bit beefed up road cars with gear whine. GTRs probably don't have much sound isolation left so you can hear that monster of the engine in front (or at the back) of you.

Childish wannabe owning aside, a very nice step forward. Germany has this stuff (ESL Pro League) and i'd expect it to be done in USA or England next but Serbia really rcked the house. Wish this would be possible in Slovenia.
Still on 93.71, even though i uninstalled them and reinstalled the 92.91 (older anyways). Changing resolution didn0t help either. I'm reluctant to try newer drivers because i hear it's that stupid control pannel only.
GeFore 6600 GT AGP, after a fresh format AA didn't work, reinstalled the drivers, did a fresh install right now, AA set to 8x (max), AF to 16x (also max) but the picture is still very blocky. Does anyone have an answer? It really pisses me off. The further the 'image' is, the mroe blocky it is. THe cars are all fine. And i also have some low FPS: If there isn't a practical solution i'm thinking about a reformat.
If you want to know any details, ask. THe drivers are the latest (93.71 i think).
But BMW bought off Sauber because they wanted their own F1 team. And dunno, lots of BMW ads around Aston
EDIT: Donkevoort was emntioned. However bringing an LX8 GTR into LFS to compete with the GTRs would bring another problem. Size. Even comparing an LX4 to the TBO class, the thing is microscopic! I don't know where to pass it for example. You can pass another TBO with some rubbing here and there but what about the LXs with their practically open front wheels? The real GTRs are wider still. Sure, LX8 GTR would be bigger, taller (if it had a rear wing simmilar to the donkevoort) but it'd be still very small. You'd hardly see it if it was trying to pass you.
IMO the FXR should be heavier, being AWD, but to compensate it could be a bit mroe powerfull becvause more power is lost in those extra 2 differentials.
