Watching a clip of the IMSA Audi 90 GTO i think the FXR resembles it a bit. Not much by looks but by being AWD. FXR is also 'younger' i think. But still. 5 cyl 2.2/2.3 turbo engine? It could bring it closer to the FZR.
I was the one a while back that suggested anti lag system for the FXR and XRR. With the new engine maybe the FXR wouldn't need it but the XRR could still get it. Or a V6/I6 turbo of 2,5+ capacity.
Wasn't the Sauber F1 deal made through Intel? if yes, Dell sponsors most of the WTCC BMW teams (Priaulx and the Müllers) and guess which company Dell is tied to the most
XRR is practically impossible to drift with. Slicks and a 16° steering lock prevent that. The drift cars are XRG, XRT, RB4, FZ50, LX4 and LX6. Did i miss any?
Yes, buy S2. Then you'll have the FXO. FWD 2.0 turbo tire eater.
Multiple classes are in LFS. LRF and TBO are 2 classes, both road cars. LX6 and LX4 are diff. class. LFS GT used GT1 and GT2 class - GT1 being the XRR, FZR and FXR, GT1 being the UFR and XFR.
Watching something about cars on Discovery just now made me wish for more brittish cars. Something like a TVR would be nice to compete with the LRF class. 1 tonne, 300+ BHP so it's quite powerfull, quite light (still much heavier than an LX6), no driver aids (d0h ), etc. Maybe also something a bit havier too for the road? DB9 alike? But that would need some counterbalance, i think a DB9 is too fast for the LRFs.
Hm... Just thought about this. Most people get a FPS drop when in AutoX, right? Well this could probably be blamed on the waste open space and the need to render everything. But in AutoX there are only small objects. Add a lot of buildings and you'd need A LOT of CPU power. Theoretically an open SO would work, but with a supercomputer.
The problem with fuel being used as balast is that it can't be montored. With a balast system the admin could add balast to a racer so it would be totaly fair.
Maybe a good idea would be to use a board on the dash for the race cars to put the racing number there. You'd need some pixels from the skin and map them there. This would be good for broadcasting leagues so people (and the boradcaster) would know who they are riding with from the inside of the car.
Is it possible to gather all the sound packets in one RAR/ZIP file or somewhere on the web? maybe make a database and add a link to 1st post to upload the packs there.
lajosh 110 is not enough. Ina normal road car, the minimum is said to be about 175. The D1 AE86 wighs only about 800 kilos or so, bare that in mind. And it's more like 200 than 150.
Didn't read the whole thread but practising a lot at LX4 SO4 (LXCC first combo) it's not that easy. The time is quite good. But you must know one thing. The WR is super duper duper fast. That time is just amazing. And i've seen Alles break his own WR in race by almost half a second. I have NO idea how that guy manages to be so fast I'm lucky he's my teammate for LXCC
I seem to be missing gearshifts too. FXR, Aston national, last hairpin i can't seem to get into 3rd quickly enough or to 2nd at all sometimes. This is a problem because i use quick downshifting to use engine braking. Now i sometimes go wide. I also find it hard to believe i shift twice in 5 hundreths of a second, but i don't know, could it be?
