You wont knnow its gone untill you floor it aint the car goes nowhere.

I first found it out about a month ago. Mate was pusing me around the track (me in UF1000, him in BF1) i kept the throttle on thinking it would keep me straight (dont ask me why i thought that) and i thought i would go faster XD but come the apex, into 1st and foot down, the car just rolled to the grass.

I play Battlefield 2, Counter Strike: Source, Counter Strike 1.6, Half Life 2, Garrys Mod, Live For Speed, Call Of Duty and Medal Of Honour: Allied Assult. (I wrote them in long hand for those who dont understand the abreviations.)

Played GT Legends online once or twice but every time i played, someone pit menouvered me on purpose so i dont go online much anymore.

Start of a race (online or with a full grid of AI) is about 30 - 40, after T1 its around 120, and thats the same for hotlapping. All settings on max.

i cant belive it, the two i got wrong i changed just before i sent the PM, if i didn't change them i would of got 6/6 *runs to a corner to cry*

I'm literaly on my TS server 24/7 and never, ever once got a problem with LFS and TS running together.

Are your sound drivers up to date? Also, what are you using audio wise? Like LFS and TS comming through headphones/speakers or USB headset for TS and pc speakers/headphones for LFS?

I do though seriously doubt TS would case LFS to crash and visa versa, but, it could be a one off which could happen to anything/anyone.

Wow, i didn't know their was two vids.

To be totaly honest, when it got to that part of the vid, youtube was being slow so it hung on that frame, i noticed it was nice and clear and had a gander.

I have never once had a bad encounter on any Oval or Drift server, not once. Everyone i have chatted to while racing / drifting (more like trying to) has been very helpfull and mature. Saying sorry if they make a mistake and being nice when i say sorry to them, instead of going "WTF u c*nt, learn to race etc etc etc"

City Driving CnR servers piss me right off to no end. Lets see shall we:

Rules are their are two speed limits, something like 30 for small roads and 55 for the highway, no drifting, speeding, crashing etc etc. But, if everyone was to do exactly what the rules say, wouldn't that make it a dull server? So i go on, break a rule and dont stop when a police player is chasing me, then i get a kick / ban vote against me because i didn't stop! Tell me if thats silly or not? Because in my eyes, them sort of rules are begging to be broken, if they arent, you might as well stick AI on their and chase them down.

I heard of it on Digimods forum. Someone made a tread entitled "wana play LFS" or something and i had a look through. Then i noticed someone made their own skin and i was like wow, must try it. Tried it, tried skinning and it got hard and boring, having to save, load lfs, look, close, use ps, load lfs, look, exit etc.

Left it since then but then another thread appeared (this was literaly just before the tyre physics update, like a week or so) and havent stoped playing since!

I did have mine set to 720 but everytime i try and catch a big slide, i would steer so much it would go past the DFP's lock and me being me thought i'll break it, so i have mine at 900.

Although its a pain to catch slides, its taught me NOT to get out of controll in the first place

If that dont work, download the pdf in my attachments. Its the exact same thing. it gives you all the links to programs you will need and tells you everything from beggining to end.

Its the way i learnt and probs how everyone else who renderes learnt, and tbh, everytime i set-up a scene and render, i get the satification that I did that, not downloaded from somewhere else.

Theres a trial for max 7 and 8 on their official site.

Also for rendering, some people use the standard renderer you get with their package, i know some on here use vRay and Brazil. All of which have trials.

Some nice ideas. IMO the crash, walk to pits and drive secondary car is something you do see in RL racing, so it might be a nice idea to have, but then again, would you really want someone running around the track like a loony when your racing? Also, not driving for 2 weeks is very long, and i know it would put me off the game instantly. I mean sure, i smash the XRR to smitherines and i cant drive it for a week, but i got all the other cars i can use, but i want the XRR. Just wont work.

Although, the idea is something that could be worked on. For example, you win credits for comming X out of X in a race. So say you come 1st out of 20, you win X amount of credits. Then when you crash, you cant shift+s and the car is all hunky doory, you have to drive to the pits and use your credits to fix the car, or fix it in the garage after / before a race. Same with any mechanical errors such as a fooked clutch. But i dont think any of these should be implimented untill LFS has a semi-realistic damage / failure thing.

I dont know if this is just me or the program, don't get me wrong, awesome program, but AVG found a trojan in it. (see attachment)

Like i said, it might just be me, but i would suggest everyone check, to be sure.

For me its a bit of both.

Also on new tracks i havent raced on its fun to try and guess the breaking point. Especily if you have no idea how narrow / tight the corner is.

Thats the sort of thing i was on about. Depending on X, Y, Z the car will do A, B, C. Their's enough reference on the net, like the link you posted, that could be implimented into any car, no need for smashiing any other cars up.

Anly other factor would be that each car will have its own engine (as in motor engine with pistons and head gaskets, not a physics engine) and that might take some time to model and code and stuff, along with other things that would be needed to make any crash look half decent.

I would guess that to get damage on anycar, licenced or non-licenced should be easy. If you say got a licence to put a Enzo in LFS, if the model is done acuratly enough, a head on collision depending on G's and stuff would be easy for a dedicated physics engine. I mean, think about it, LFS cars atm dent depending on the force, angle and where the impact takes place, all that i would think would be needed is a part of the car that remains more or less rock solid and other parts dent around the solid structure depending on the three above or break off depending on the force. So really, smashing up a car just get a realistic look is a waste of numerous cars and money.
