Mainly been working on the wheel area for the last 3 days. Hopefully, new tyres are to come and a texture for the brakepad and a decent colour for the disk. Cant remeber where i got the disk from but its sexual :P added all colours myself.
Hmmm, i dno. I like this movie, but something is hitting me in the face like tuna.
The music is good, it has fast bits, slow bits and could do very well in a LFS movie, but i dont think you used the music in your advantage. When the music picked up pase, the XRR also did, but then the net clip was straight back to slow mo, maybe keep the fast pased for a little linger to set the music off with the images.
The b&w look is styleish and adds class to the vid. Also, the angles your using adds to that.
Overal, good vid. Short, sweet and nice to watch. Well done
I dno but i've changed the thread to a Rendering help thread so anything can be asked and asnwered (instead of hundreds of new threads) good or bad idea? Like the rendering request thread, ask, someone helps, life carries on.
Was mucking about the other day with a mate in the BF1 and UF1. After he pushed me and i was trying to drive to, the engine died! :S didnt know LFS has engine faults.
The BF1 was going 120mph when i took this screenie and we did get a bit faster, 130 nearly i think untill i spun.
What resolution skin are you using? 1024x71024 and over comes out clear but 512x512 comes out like that, so i would say use a high rez skin.
You dont need to adjust any materials for the lights. I have that happen to me when im half way through setting my scene up and doing test renders. I think it might be the skylight. Have you enabled that in Brazils properties? (if your using brazil, if not i dont know) but its normaly down to lighting, not the texture. You might of assigned a colour or a different texture to that materials slot. Double check in the material menu that each texture is assigned to the right part of the car.
Hope this helps, if not im sure their is someone who has much more experiance than me in max will help ya
Very orignal dude. I like the light effects, tho a little bright, it adds to the night theme. Not sure if you can in vagas but maybe lower its opacity so its sligtly seethrough, then we can see the car behind it and looks a tad more RL.
Overall i liked it, not my sort of music but it does suit the vid so i dont care SFX are great and i think the subtitles hit it off.
To answer some questions i got asked. Im using Full 3DS Max 7 and Full Brazil.
Before i got them i used the trial of brazil and BIGrenderd. (not sure if it works with max 8) but i installed it into the plugins folder, ran max, pressed 8 on the keyboard and clicked the EFFECTS tab and clicked add. Chose BIGrender and then setup the areas (somewhere on this forum, i'll find link later) and renderd. Put pieces together in photoshop and it makes a 1000x1000 render.
I haven't looked but i'm about 100% sure people have suggested night racing before.
My idea is somewhat different. I was thinking that the server will take the time of day its running in (like timezone time) and output that into LFS. So if you are racing on a server for 24h you get to see sunrise, midday, sunset and maybe night back to sunrise in game.
Obviously make this an option so it can be on or off but i think it'll be quite fun. having to adjust to different lights while racing like 24h racers do and different track temps (if thats in LFS at the moment) Also be interesting to join a server in your contry where its roughly the same light outside as the game puts out, then goining another server in another country which is different.
Wouldn't they then use the same sort of physics as the tyre stacks? Just a little more bottom heavy. But the ones blocking of bits of the track you shouldn't go to (like the ones in the BL carpark i presume?) could have the same properties as a brick wall, just we see it as a barrier, game sees it as a wall?
