If you're ever bored again you could try doing 3 runs for each and then post the average time of the 3 runs for each car

I thought Bob looked a lot shorter than I imagined too... well there ya go, he's not.

Actually, one of my boss's is called Bob and he's six foot as well... there goes that theory on Bob's being short and fat.. he is bald though

According to deathclock I'll die on Monday, 26 July 2066... Fark, I'll be 86 years old. I hate Mondays.

I've only got my brother into LFS, he also purchased a wheel for it. He only really got into it once I showed him the MRT5 back in S1, after doing a few laps in it with my wheel he was hooked. I'll get mates to have a go at it, and a lot enjoy it but none of them have the time to get into it. Most of them stick to GT4 type games as it's quick and easy, no need for a huge comment. Fair enough

Actually, everyone I have showed only has seen S1 and they all loved the MRT5...

Just thought of another (probably way too late, oh well)

Live for Speed: Download it, try it, you'll love it.

I got into GT4 again yesterday... the Audi A3 3.2 Quattro is a sweet car, sounds good, drives good, looks good. I reduce a little of its weight and gave it more rear drive bias and it was even better! GT4 isn't that bad really, sure its not "The Real Driving Simulator" like it claims, but it's still a good.

LOL, that name is huge. Send him a link to the 32mb demo. Say "Download it, try it and STFU about GT4."

Quote from AndroidXP :I guess that means it's overclocked...

I thought the same thing, but an AMD XP 2400 + default speed is normally around 1.93MHz to 2MHz... a quick google advised me that, you didn't get your figures wrong Mr.Ferret . It's 15 x 133 for this CPU (which equals 1995MHz, which is why they are rated between 1.93MHz to 2MHz).

My CPU is an Athlon 2500 +, default is 11 x 166 = 1826MHz (actual speed for mine is 1832MHz). Right now it's overclocked to 11 x 199 = 2189MHz (actual speed for mine is 2182MHz). My generic ram (2 x 512MB PC3200 dual channel) doesn't like BF2 when the FSB is 200, runs completely stable at 199 though

Quote from RacingSimFan :The LX6 doesn't have to be 'GTR' with a turbo and whatnot. Just slapping slicks on it makes it a much racier car yet isn't all downforced up or tricked out. That would also leave room for an LX8 GTR with turbo and spoilers and tuner stuff.

Seriously, making the LX6 a race car in S2 Final may be one of the best reasonable/do-able changes the devs could make.

Who mentioned anything about turbo's?? The original, but canned, LX8 GTR was a NA V8 - no turbo at all...

That would be awesome

I would still like to have the LX8 GTR, but an LX6 GTR would be a damn fine.

I couldn't see an LX6 GTR racing against FWD buzzbox GTR's though, that would look wrong

Far out, limiting it to top 10 is bloody hard. If I had the cash my garage would probably have 5000+ vehicles in it

LFS is more CPU demanding than GPU, so you might want to check if it's CPU heat issue as well. Is your heat sink clean of dust? Check that the HSF (Heat Sink Fan) is also clean and still works fine.

What temperature is your CPU running at when idling and under load? (Motherboard Monitor 5 can help here http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ )

Nope, he didn't Tweek. It was posted earlier that only Scawen & Victor could make it.

I'd prefer some better visual effects. Things like bugs splatting on the windshield, dust kicked up gets your car dirty etc. As for birds and the bees... if only spectators can hear them and the racers can run over them, why not? hehe.

No more 4 bangers or turbo cars please... heres why (cut and paste from a pre-S2 post of mine in RSC):

Current S1 Cars

XF GTi - NA 4 - FWD
XR GT - NA 4 - RWD
XR GT Turbo - T 4 - RWD
RB4 GT - T 4 - AWD
FXO Turbo - T 4 - FWD
LX4 - NA 4 - RWD
LX6 - NA 6 - RWD
MRT5 - T 4 - RWD

New S2 Cars

UF 1000 - NA 4 - FWD
UF GTR - NA 4 - FWD
XF GTR - NA 4 - FWD
XR GTR - T 4 - RWD
FXO GTR - T 4 - AWD
FZ50 - NA 6 - RWD
FZ50 GTR - NA 6 - RWD
RaceAbout - T 4 - RWD
Formula XR - NA 4 - RWD
Formula V8 - NA 8 - RWD

Total FWD = 5 (2 S1, 3 S2)
Total AWD = 2 (1 S1, 1 S2)
Total RWD = 11 (5 S1, 6 S2)

Total 4 = 14 (7 S1, 7 S2)
Total 6 = 3 (1 S1, 2 S2)
Total 8 = 1 (0 S1, 1 S2)

Number of RWD 4 = 7 (4 S1, 3 S2)
Number of FWD 4 = 5 (2 S1, 3 S2)
Number of AWD 4 = 2 (1 S1, 1 S2)

Number of RWD 6 = 3 (1 S1, 2 S2)
Number of FWD 6 = 0
Number of AWD 6 = 0

Number of RWD 8 = 1 (0 S1, 1 S2)
Number of FWD 8 = 0
Number of AWD 8 = 0

Key:

NA = Naturally Aspirated
T = Turbo
4 = four cylinder engine
6 = six cylinder engine
8 = eight cylinder engine
FWD = Front wheel drive
RWD = Rear wheel drive
AWD = All wheel drive

Quote from tristancliffe :He's talking about Black and White. I too remember a 'Scawen Roberts' wandering around muttering. He never did anything useful either, apart from the odd kitchen repair, and random physics calculations. I liked to throw him at trees.

I think my monkey ate him once too...

Ditto, although my beast was a tiger...

Now that sounds fair and reasonable. However, wreck an entire field and it should be no mercy.

Quote from skiingman :Cool. I don't know if anything similar is prevalent in North America, I usually just see gates of various types.

I've seen lines painted across roads to "instruct" deer where to cros....lol...dunno how effective that actually is.

We have signs like that for our animals here... lol.

Randomn lightning strikes!

I've played a few games with dynamic weather, creates so much more atmosphere and realism. Operation Flashpoint was brillant for it - you could be fightning under a clear sky and a few minutes later a storm comes and you could even see/hear the rain approach provided wind blew it your way of course. It even works on real time with a 24 hour cycle, had some pretty decent sunrise/sunset lighting as well and the fog was quite convincing.
