Even if the word car it's "feminine" (Italian) in normal language it's a thing ,with a female word but still a thing; it wont be confused with a female person. Same for bike.
Now that i think truck, kart, steering wheel, tyre, engine, lights, etc. are all "masculine" words in Italian, car it's feminine; bah grammar...
For what i know in spanish it's "masculine" (el coche).
Mmmh about the traffic puzzle thingy that you write before, if you plan a Europe trip in the future, visit Naples.
Rent a car, and drive there.
This will teach something about traffic.
Part number two: have you ever drive a car to it's limits? No need for expensive race cars, a rallycross race in parking lot will be enough, you will feel slower and inexperienced, but the more you go the more experience you will get.
And it's a type of experience that normal driving or LFS would never give you.
Without considering the fun (and for what i know you have lot of "wallet" friendly autocross in parking lots in USA).
My bad english cant let me explain better than this, i hope you get the point, because if your talking about how often other drivers on the street are indisciplined and stupid i can totally agree with you, but if your talking about "i'm smarter and faster than everyone i need to race everyone on the street to show them" then i will not agree with you.
P.S. I would not considered using engine as a brake a great talent.
My mother use it everyday and she is not Schumaker/Andretti/Senna/DoriftoGripMaster/Whatever you like.
I really enjoyed the events and looking forward to more of this kind!
Anyway i would like to share some idea for improvement:
The fact that not everyone knows all the combos that will be selected may advantage the ones that have already raced in those combo. Yeah i know Lococost has proved me wrong!
But why dont make some rally/moretight layouts then Xenowolf make a lap to show them to us (and so he can unoficcially participate and have some fun). This will aproximate the "recognitions" that there are in rallys.
Obviously layout have to be not to long and easy to remember...
I know it's more easy to say than to do but i like the idea...
I would like to know your ideas about!
P.S. An example of the layouts i have in mind:
It's not too tight or too wide (like a normal street) and it isnt completely different from the original track but still have some interesting rally turns and hairpins.
P.S. Improvement N°2: Ban NoGrip. So we can have fair races...
P.S. Mmmhh, looking to Xenowolf signature... and if Xenowolf connects to TeamSpeak and do the codriver to the ones that request?
+1 for a hill climb track, a "Les Rangieres" look alike would be awesome!
Maybe a long and short version would be great so you can have fast on/line races for the people that dont have patience! Or implement in the servers option the possibility to decide the time space between the start of the cars (like 10/20/30 etc. seconds between each car).
Plus in LFS we dont need to restart the cars that are running if a crash occurs; we have spectate button to remove cars!
Ok, 12.00pm at -5 gmt, so it's 7.00am at GMT, so it's 8.00am at +1 GMT (my zone, Italy).
A bit early, but what the heck count me in!
Now i will only need to not party too much during week end!
If your new forget about Locked diffs WR sets.
Start with LSD but with hi lock percentage (you need traction after all) and a good NON understeering set; this way the car will be easy to handle and you will learn trottle control
This will apply also to rb4, dont know for the FWD cars, but who drives FWD in rallycross?
Work on consistancy and control of the car, good lap times will automatically follow.
If you dont have a good control of the car go FERallyx with LX, and practice a lot, then the other cars will became toys.
Yes rallycross allow some more contact, but it's not banger racing, and lot of people seems to dont know that.
You can be more aggressive but dont count on contact to pass someone.
I will post some easy but still fast sets this evening, now gotta go!
Have fun!
Movies, computer games/forum/etc, school, and most of all an U.S. Air Force base at 1km from my house helped me on UNDERSTANDING english.
My pronounce it's just terrible but it's also because english uses totally different sounds than italian (and viceversa) spanish it's much more simple...
I found U.K. english much more easy to understand than American (i'm speaking about TV) i saw "Blackadder" show and almost understand everything; cant say the same for some American films i have.
ehm, i use Paint shop pro...
And i consider myself still a newbie in skinning...
I also noticed that, and i tryed to aplly a custom pattern on the whole skin, more to let skin appear as "opaque" and not "plastified", results for now are.. ehm... need to experiment a little more...
Thanks a lot!
And no problem, i will not use it online.
In fact i will not use it even on single player!
Mmmh, at first look i can say they will really be useful!
Thanks again, and btw awesome skins!
Well no sims out there it's anything near realistic, some have good features, but flight model it's a hard thing to replicate in a pc. Expecially modern jet fighters whose specs and avionics are still classified...
I let my father (military jet pilot and after air liner pilot) try some of them... he always shake his head and laugh...
However seems that companys try to improve more graphics than realistic features, most of the sims out there have better graphics than most of the real "training simulators" pilot uses; but in the end they have still to sell to the masses...
I've just tryed "Falcon 4.0 Allied Force", first impressions arent bad, but i just tryed that once... i wil let you know after some uses.
If you dont want to dogfight you may want to try the Ms flight simulator (not the combat ones) series (dont have it, i think the last i played was possibly 98?) for what i know they are ok, unless obviously you dont want to exploit the flight model, but in that case i dont think there is a flight sim that will satisfy you.
And i really enjoy LOMAC, it may not be reality, but it's damn fun!
Edit- i see you have an older pc, then maybe LOMAC it's a bit too much, an old good combat sim was "Su-27" (guess what you plane will pilot?) it's on most abandonware site and for the year they made it it was very good. And if i remember right they made also a sequel (Flanker 2 ?) and they are the same developers of LOMAC, but i'm not 100% sure, i may be wrong.
As cadet, but mostly because i like the track and i'm fast there.
Also the city ones are good but FOX it's too "slow" there, better fo8, when i can finish a lap...
Thanks a lot Maggot! It will really be an help to use that as a reference!
No need to .psd (dont need to edit or take any "part" of your skin), jpg it's fine it's just the coordinates i need so i dont have to swith back to Viewer 200 times for each rivet! And also i will see how you maked the "old" and "used" style on the skin!
Thanks again and take the time you want!
