No worries about the bump.

There was some lag around yesterday, several people lagged out over the evening.

I was probably a little laggy to, due to streaming my race at the same time. Maybe I shouldn't worry about streaming my own race. The only reason I do it, is that if I crash out, then I can continue streaming as normal for the rest of the cars.

Well.... maybe I switched to the R2's first then? Silly me!

Although I have nothing to do with the complaint, or any appeal process. I must say something, as there was quite a lot of laggy people today.

This goes for anyone, not just Makinen. If you know you have bad lag/connection, then you should really think about if it is a good idea to race or not.

If you keep disconnecting and lagging out before the race starts, the best thing to do is not start the race, and bow out gracefully, rather risk starting and causing lag outs for other people or an accident during the race.

I was not expecting a good race.

Just before the race started, I got a great setup from FF Tim (thanks), but with little test time I did not know that 8 laps into the race, they were already hot.

After some bumps I decided to pit early and switch to R3's, stayed cold for a while, but got really good and was going not bad speed.

Few more crashes and pit stops Main one was due to my pc going stuttery again and LFS dropping to 5fps

Anyway, back on R3's again later and was nearly gonna beat my hotlap time, but spun.

Over all, pleased I finished, but could've done better with R3s from start.

Thanks for uploading stream recordings, sorry no commentary on Pool one - I wasn't up for doing it on my own, was waiting for Fireball to join again, be he didn't

But I sorta enjoyed doing it with him (errrr), so you never know, might happen again!

Sorry about the problems - last minute technical hitch before Pool Two was due to start. We should be running ok until the end now.

[GVR] kaynd - yes, i'm not sure why it said you were meant to be in Pool 2 - when you should be in Pool one.

As I'm hosting Pool one, you can still race, just make sure you get there on time. Anyone who knows [GVR] kaynd, please tell him he can still race

Update......

There are now links to live visual stats for each race being streamed. Make sure to open them in a new window and view alongside the stream for enhanced viewing. You must remember to open the stats for EACH race that you want to watch.

The Second PC here is going to replaced soon by a more powerful machine, hopefully this will provide better streaming quality (not by loads, but a bit).

Looking into more ways to enhance the quality, delivery and extras for the stream too for the coming months ahead. Some good things are planned!

Yeah... I did really suspect it was all post production, but what confused me, was the commentary really sounded 'live' as if they had not seen the race up until that point, so, that got me wondering you see.......!

I've not tested the patch myself... however I feel the false start system is good, but, it should give the driver a drive through penalty rather than a spectate or disquali. Also, untested, but in F1 a driver has to drive through within 3 laps of getting the penalty, this too should be in LFS (if it isn't already).

I went to the STCC site and watched the video on your main page, was very impressed with the quality. I couldn't ask how you did the visual overlays could I? And was it done live when it was recorded, or did you create the video, then do the commentary afterwards.

or what about a button you hold which changes it whilst the button is held.

So, if FPS is displayed for example, and set the hotkey to the INSERT key and hold it down, it changes to the time mode, until I release the key again. (and vice versa).
