hmmm, in that case I should just render the videos in 720p and 30fps.. and just crank up the bitrate
I'll give it a go

Your comparison makes as much sense as your avatar.

Upload high quality videos to youtube?

Hey guys, I'm sure a few of you have seen I've started uploading a few videos from my GoPro camera to my youtube channel.
Well I've been looking around, and some of the footage on other peoples channels with the camera look so much clearer than the stuff I upload! I'm guessing the only thing is this can be down too is how I compress the video after I chop it up and export it with adobe premiere.

I've only tried a few different ways of rendering the videos. I can't decide which is the best out of these:

1. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jloputOGmE
Format = .FLV
FPS = 50
Resolution = 1280 x 720
bitrate = (can't remember exactly, but probably around the 5 - 8000kbps mark)
Total file size = 206MB

2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_UOuT3FhPw
Format = MP4
Resolution 1280 x 720
FPS = 50
bitrate = 6000kbps
File size = 291MB

3. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmB7F5KfoBg
Format = MP4
Resolution 1280 x 720
FPS = 29.97
bitrate = 15,000kbps
File size = 822MB

Here are some examples of videos that I think blow mine out of the water:
GoPro footage: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo3M6EB8kmk
Karting footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXyyyVjcvF0

I don't really care about what the filesize of my videos are when I upload them, I just want them to be damn good quality! Can anyone help me out with some settings I should use?

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Fiesta was boring.
0:51 i suspect either a 30 or 40 limit which you are of course keeping to!! no reason to blank out a speedo if you don't speed!!
1:20 what the hell are you thinking is your fiesta a space shuttle? this is the reason i hate buying used cars because people just jump them over speedbumps breaks everything!!

remind me to never buy a car from you

Sorry, I'll end up in a police chase next time to make it a bit more exiting!
Who knows, this is the Internet after all. Better safe than sorry
My shitty excuse for jumping the speedbumps is I was late for work due to setting up the camera, and they are almost flat anyway the camera wobble and the metal bar in the boot just make it look and sound worse than it is

Quote from aoun :14,1k is a fair bit, and IMO too much needed for the straight. HP starts to drop after 12,5 anyway. Do you run rotax light or heavy? Your engine sounds well tuned.

Normally aim for like 14.0k, I just got a mega run out of that final corner haha There's two classes, one just named senior rotax which runs a minimum weight of 162KG and the heavyweight class which runs 177KG... Since I weight about the same as a bag of sugar, I'm in the 162KG class
Yeahhh, It's not bad.. It's pretty much in its prime now with only 4/5 hours of running since a full rebuild. It's my first season in rotax so me and my dad are still trying to figure out wtf is going on

Quote from Intrepid :Sorry to pick but I noticed something in your description. Rotax doesn't have a rev limiter strictly speaking

Yeaa, I don't really understand how it works exactly, but I know my revs can't get over 14.11k :P

Quote from aoun :What gearing were you using there Seb?

Plus, OTK = brake failure.

I'll find out for sure later, the rear was 82.. I know that for sure :').
Was my dads fault really (as always) He tightened up the pin to hold the brake pads in, in like 7 Celsius temperatures.. I presumed the calipers expanded when they got hot and snapped the pin
