I would say yes, of course! But not until S3 is mostly done and finished and scawen feels like the physics are to a point where they don't need to be updated every patch.
1) Absolutely NOTHING has changed in the tire physics. You didn't confirm that you have managed to work something out that you said wasn't in previous reports. How bad are these freaking physics that you cannot release versions as its updated. I shouldn't need to tell you that the current tire model was implemented and 'perfected' in one patch. This new one doesn't need to be either. Also, I hope to god that these new physics feel a great deal different then the one that is presently in the game cause anything less will be a waster of time over the past three years. Almost NO ONE cares if you manage to figure out how to fix how the tire model works if it only changes the feeling of the game during 1% of gameplay.
2) Eric is still "working" on "new" stuff for S3. However, nothing will be be confirmed. Also, by the way this is written, the Scirocco has been ready yet is being held for absolutely no reason. The game isn't going to be perfect when the next full S2 patch comes so what is the point of holding content from the users that is ready. Only thing that I can say is that I no longer believe in the saying that no news is good news.
Honestly, this is completely pathetic. You wrote this just because you had people complain that nothing happened over the Christmas break and therefore a bunch of people complaining about the state of LFS. Now you send out a useless progress report that will get your fanboys to back you up for another half a year by saying that stuff must be happening cause we are getting progress reports. If you can't keep the pace with just three developers, admit it and get more people to help you.
I know for a fact that the LFS users like Lynce have done more work for LFS over the past few years that I've seen than Eric has done. And don't even try to debate that fact because it's just true. I'd love to see Eric create half the crap that Lynce manages to do with this dying game.
Dude, how about you shut the hell up? School's don't teach anything? You know what, you aren't going to get any good job by just going to school anymore, try going to college.
And sorry to be the one to tell you, the US isn't the only place where marketing is everything on TV. That's a world wide phenomenon. Commercials and people being paid a lot to be on TV is not a US only occurrence.
Also, sorry to hear that everyone you know are pompous dicks, but that's your own problem. Simply going to Facebook, liking pop culture and watching TV isn't going to destroy a nation (at all). What would you rather have? People not watching anything interesting and not connecting socially to each other? Cause if that's the case, go and sneak your way into North Korea.
Is Kim Jong Il's son now in charge of Korea? That fatass would rather spend his time eating some donuts instead of wasting time declaring war on South Korea.
Hmm, weird. I actually quite liked the game. Maybe it's just too popular to hate on NFS to not jump on the bandwagon. If you really want to enjoy it though, you have to play it on hard, if not extreme depending on your skill level.
When you actually have to try your hardest to get through some of the stages (I played some stages over five or six times in order to beat them with all resets) the game is fun. Definitely being under appreciated on here imo.
Say what ya want, but Underground 2 was the most fun I've ever had with a NFS game. I played that game on and off for about 5 years. In fact, at my high school where they gave out laptops for the students, the most played game on our computers was consistently GTA: Vice City and Underground 2. Also, Most Wanted was pretty sweet as well.
I actually really like he game. Not as much fun as Hot Pursuit, but more fun than almost all of the previous games that EA has made (Pro Street, Undercover, and about the same level of fun as the Shift games). Clearly, enjoy it like an arcade, not expecting it to be factually correct.
It's a very large game. I'm less than 1/3 of the way through and I've driven over 500 miles in the game.
Not sure, but this is done in quite a few other games as well. It is quite annoying though and I wish that it didn't have to.
This is quite nit picky. They're badges and honestly, it shows you the stuff which you want to read long enough. I haven't had a problem with it skipping stuff at all.
You can. Go into settings on the main screen, then gameplay, and then controls. You can change the acceleration and brake to whatever you want.
Definitely Hector, though I wish he had left the helmet and gas can out of it. Doesn't mesh with the whole picture in my idea. Still amazing though. Good effort by Fors as well.
Sorry, but a good idea isn't a good edit and that's what this competition is all about. Get better at your editing skills BOSCHO and you'll get my vote sometime.
I believe this is considered the most realistic video out there for an F1 type car. The guy recording this actually had one of this eyes covered (can't remember which website I saw that said that) and was only driving with the other one.
The reason who only see the rear wheel I'm guessing is because the camera is farther forward than the driver and then messes up the angle of view. If you imagine the camera being farther back, you would see the area behind the car better.
Also, the other video that was posted above (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6hGGlmie6U) seems to be to the left side of the helmet as can be seen from the straightaways. Also, the POV is all wrong for that video considering you can't even see the mirrors.
Good point above that the only real way to get the right POV for a car in LFS is probably to be using more than one monitor...
Here's to the crazy one. The misfit. The rebel. The troublemaker. The round peg in these square hole. The one who saw things differently. He wasn't fond of rules. He had no respect for the status quo. You can quote him, disagree with him, glorify or vilify him. About the only thing you can't do is ignore him. Because he changed things. He pushed the human race forward. And while some may have seen him as the crazy one, we saw genius. Because the man who was crazy enough to think he could change the world, was the one who did. RIP Steve Jobs.
I just read an article and this is how it was put:
Basically, in the past 100,000 years for our galaxy (we've been around in this form of evolution for about 6000 years by most accounts), there have been 127 civilizations.
In order to reach other civilizations, it's really only been possible to even consider that option in the past 100 years or so. That means it took 6000 years to reach a level where we could have the technology to start trying to contact other forms of intelligent life.
Here's another interesting fact:
So, we would have to go and look at around 10 millions stars just in our galaxy to even have a fair chance at finding another civilization (The closest star to our galaxy is 4.27 light years away or 25100000000000 miles aka 2.51x10^13 miles). I don't see any way of the human race contacting intelligent life during our lifetimes or ever. If it would took 4.27 years to reach the closest star (assuming that nothing can travel faster than light), I can't even imagine how long it would take to reach 10 million stars. Unless an alien race has managed to find a way to travel large distances in the galaxy without much time, then the chances of any other civilization finding us is also very slim.
Well the helmet is used, but he's never crashed with it on and it's never fallen or anything. I inspected it and there weren't any scratches or dents and it's DOT and Snell approved. It's also only like a couple years old. It was too good a deal to pass up.
The way my motorcycle instructor explained to us about motorcycle safety is this: If you are going to ride a motorcycle, you need to accept risk. However, everything you do has risk. The thing it comes down to is how you balance your risk with consequences. A good bike rider is the one who always tries to minimize risk.
Basically, riding a bike will never be as safe as driving a car. However, if you are a good rider, you can minimize the risk present to yourself. It's very possible to have fun on a bike without being an idiot.
I'm all for protection, but 300 dollars for gloves?! My bike cost me 1700 (granted it was a freaking sweet deal) and it seems obnoxious to be paying 300 for gloves. At what price point can I get fairly decent gloves? I'm not going to be racing my bike or something, so I don't need like these racing gloves or anything. Just some motorcycle gear.
I believe it's one of the developers goals to make that level of hardware later on. Right now, they are not focusing on graphics so that those who don't have a sega master system don't feel left out. Expect the graphics to get a nice upgrade around 2014 and then be on the Sega master system.
What's wrong with iOS? Beats Android easily, not to talk about RIM and WebOS. W7 still has a chance since it's pretty new but it sucks because it's pretty new.
Now, that's not really my opinion, but I'm just trying to point out that all this stuff is people's opinions. Pre-warning about not turning this thread into an iOS vs. android flame war. K? Thanks.
