Quote from Drift_0k :maybe those RC cars that can drift, while the drivers stand at the pits controlling it.

LMAO! look on ebay for some. They are fairly cheap used, no real need to have them in the game.

I already race these things and if I want to drift one, I pop my 12 turn mod motor in the thing and have fun. The crowd at the hobby shop here gets annoying when I start doing it...

Here is my best run today. I am still working on keeping that thing in a straight line

Edit:
Wait a minute... I just did this one after fixing my suspension

Yeah, the Demo cars are good for drag but the second you try slicks and 1200hp while racing, the suspension can't take it. It just noodles out and gets all twitchy.

Next Tweak cars are hopefully GTR

I always trail brake when racing the FZR, RB4, XRT, and FOX. I don't like to use a locked diff and don't.
I can shave quite a bit of time off a lap time doing trail braking, I only have issues when I get a person infront of me that does not do so. I usually end up having to swing the back end around a little and slide to the outside to avoid a smash.

Trail braking is good if you can do it correctly. I am working on doing it with my LX6, it has understeer off throttle and oversteer on full throttle and can't run half throttle through many corners. Trail braking is the answer if I can keep it from sliding around. The FZ5 is good for it too because that sucker is a TANK!

Engines aye
Volkswagen W12 With a twin turbo system in a car like the RB4
A Supercharged (15-20 PSI of boost) V10 engine puting out 800HP and 725lbft of torque in the FZR.
A nice 350HP 400ftlb of torque engine in a LX (like the LX8)

Can someone post a pic of that RB4 GTR again? Please...

I would like to see a couple more classes in LFS.
Like the true GTR cars with 600-700BHP (Aston Martin DBR9)
Some high power cars that still have the "road super" tires (700BHP/ 675lbft of Torque RB4  )
The audi R10 type of cars would be nice.

A little competition for the UF1.... a 1967 Volkswagen BUG

And for god sakes No more 4-bangers!!! illepall Give us some true V8, W8, W12, V12 POWER!! Hmm, How about Supercharged instead of Turbo too...

Yeah, seeing this stuff gets annoying. I have problems with mexicans that live(d) near the U.S border but the ones from the middle of mexico (I assume that is where most of the LFS mexicans are from) are great people.

I think the REAL bug here is that the moment you hit 80KPH you get a drive through penalty. I mean WTF is that? Speed limit is 80 so why can't I do 80 without a penalty? I can't even do 79.5 without a penalty illepall

hmm, that is interesting. It does not look like it was caused by lag. It even went away in a few steps. Red to yellow and to blank, then went and fixed the other part. Lag just makes the car jump and fix at the same time from what I have seen.

I got my replacement G25 2 days ago but this replacement one is loud, feels rough, gives 2X as much strength as the first one, and the shifter is a pain in the A$$ (the new knob is nicer tho )

FOOT braking? lol I use my heel on the brakes, my toes are still on the gas pedal. My left foot is on the clutch.

I found another thing with the new patch. If you have FFB going when you disconnect from a server, it keeps doing FFB in that direction until you Tab out of LFS.

Oh... That sucks. I do know that if you are anything like me, you will find a way.. So you got yer left ankle.. Well, that can be a big problem with a manual transmission car.
Heh, umm. I have nooo idea how you would do that.

Yeah, I don't like how sharp those paddles are.
After seeing the inside of a G25, I will not be hitting the steering lock very hard.

heh, Just learn to turn slower :something
Road Super tires are kinda slippery. I can still break the tires loose at about 90 KPH in the LX6. 20PSI is about what I use for all cars with road tires.
Still quite fun to spin the tires all the way past a UF1 that is going all out.

I am still sad about the fact that I cannot find a LX6 racing server.

My solution for the flowers that die really quick, get the ones that are living that will live for as long as she keeps watering it.

My problem is that I have to choose between a girl and racing. I always choose the racing.

Quote from Forbin :I think headers (as tubular exhaust manifolds are called here in the US) are typically made of steel. Maybe aluminium too, but I'm not sure about that. For more common manifolds, I think iron is most often used. My 1994 Pontiac Bonneville (3800 lb FWD boat, pushrod 3.8L V6) had iron exhaust manifolds.

That reminds me, the exhaust "manifold" on my bike (in quotes because it's just a single pipe, due to only 1 cylinder) has a golden color to it. I'm not sure exactly what type of metal that would be. See here:

http://www.bikez.com/motorcycl ... -g6_super_sherpa_2002.php

Better pic here:

This might sound a litte odd coming from a guy in New Zealand.
Yes, the 3800 engines come with the Iorn Exhaust manifolds. I have been around soo many of those engines. One in my moms minivan (1995 Chevy Lumina LS 3800) one in my dads Fiero GT and 2 spare ones in the garage (one Series 1 S/C and one Series 2 S/C)
Hehe, those Bonnevilles do prety darn well if you have a S/C engine. Not sure which Series 1 came in the 1994 but some are almost S/C ready and others are just the plain 3800. All my moms minivan requires for the Supercharger is the Supercharged style heads.

Well, away from those engines....
From what I have seen most cars come with iorn headers. I have not seen any header made out of aluminum but that does not mean they don't exist.

My dad made his own performance exhaust from the headers all the way back and used the Tubular steel exhaust pipes. They were the more expensive type that had the smooth curves but I am not exactly sure what they were.

Quote from kompa :http://user.personal.fi/private/kompa/g25/

Pics of the shifter provided by mr. x and Bob Smith, thanks and hope you don't mind.

So what would be the best way to mod it? Just remove the leather and add a custom H-gate, which would probably be enough to add some grunt to the noise and possibly some additional resistance as well. In order to do that the plastics have to be carved away from left & right sides, correct?

Hey! Those first 6 pictures are mine, check yer Messages. It will show me to be the source of those pictures. You can use them just try giving credit to the right person . Lucky I did not do any modding because I had to send the wheel back. Well, the new one arrives either tomorrow or the next day.

If ya can't figure out how to get the shifter knob off, that top silver piece comes off and there is a Screw in there. Requires a #2 Phillips screw driver to remove. from there, just pull up. The boot slides right off after that.
I am searching for a different shifter knob to use.

Quote from andy_bonjon :lol Go and drive a real car with no power steering, no servo brakes and no fuel injection just ordinary carbs!!

1966 Chevy van with 292 in-line 6. Get a good workout steering it and you REALLY have to stand on the brakes. Throttle and clutch? FFB? ARE YOU NUTS? Throttle has no FFB and the clutch still has no FFB.
Just took that out for a spin. still nothing. Brakes, I did not get any feeling off of them. Just got some feedback from a funky spot on the drum.

ok, fine. I get some serious pulsing on the brakes after my mom drives a car for a while.

Power steering? I can really do without it. Too many things that can go wrong. Power brakes are a nice option to have.
Forget the stupid traction control, Antilock brakes, and the automatic transmission.
