Premiere elements is the "light" version just like the relationship between photoshop and photoshop elements.

Wha tactually means I don't know unfortunately since I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5.

I do know however that Premiere Pro 2.0 which is the latest version doesn't offer full backwards compatibility for premiere project files, so if you're half way through a piece, don't switch versions.

If not then I'd say look at upgrading the software, since I can run fraps @ 25fps full screen with sound, which gives me a huge file but that's no problem, I can then edit the files in Premeire also without a problem. I can even layer them and render more than one copy of the fraps file at once as long as I don't have anything better to do for a while, or want to do anything else at the same time....

I don't have a super computer either :-AMD 3400 64bit, 1gb RAM, 200gb SATA hdd.

Is the layout from "incoming" posted anywhere? that looks like it might be fun to play with.

[edit] Never mind I think I've found it in the misc downloads section of the austraracing site...I'm off to amuse myself [/edit]

"Scoobyroo" yeah so I know it looks like an old Celica not a Subaru but hey it amused me....

It's public, do whatever you like with it, just credit me as the creator of the basic skin if you feel like altering it.

Heh...proof positive that as long as the average Aussie can look at the activities of the rest of the world and think "boring pussies" then he's happy illepall

Fair comment... I haven't seen the car you based the skin on, or if I have I've forgotten what it looks like. Maybe make the blue shade a bit darker then? It's just that I think it clashes with the colour of the winglets, but then that's just my taste

I think looks really nice, just a coupla comments, personally I think I'd lose the light blue surround from the Nexx decal on the front winglets [like you've done on the dorsal] and the only other thing is that your attachment is the 2048 @ 1.3mb not the online version

Good job mate.... next please.

Quote from d6nn :i wanted to mix this pic with the hockenheim pic but couldnt

I pinched your screenshot and gave it a go, hope you don't mind...

I overdid the amount of dust, and it's ended up looking like the car's in a sandpit or something, but I don't have the time to mess around with it anymore...

I'll stick the slightly disappointing result up so you can laugh and point anyway

A Radical's the closest thing I've ever seen to a kart on that track, the video's in the "racing videos" thread in this section somewhere.

Sorry to be picky but it's Nurburgring Nordschleife.

that's a link to the webcam that watches the entrance, sit there long enough and you might see something sexy on it

Hmmm kinda right & kinda wrong... plain layered bitmap based PSD files are usually backwards compatible so you're kinda wrong although the compression methods they use have changed over time so you're kinda right

Making a skin is only making a .jpg. If you want to view them on the car then obviously the answer is no, photoshop doesn't do that, the CMX viewer [main site other/other downloads] does.

Contains more helpful info on making skins than this forum does, you'll have to register but hey it's worth it.

Quote from Gobby :The next one has arrived

This time its the brand new for this weekend Super Aguri. I think this car looks great compared to the last few races. Such a lovely flowing design.

I need some help to finalise the skin completely. Please could somebody help me find the 3 japanese symbols which are situated next to 'BORN IN JAPAN'. I've improvised until I get some better photos.

As always, Enjoy.

I have a set of kanji ttf fonts if they're any use... PM me and I'll mail em over.

You two are in two different cars, evidently some cars allow more adjustment of the seating position than others.

Yeah that's Derek Bell's "Tour of the Nordschleife" video from the ealy 80's [I think] there's another somewhere of him setting the lap record which again going from memory, is the record broken by the nutter in the radical.

Having the Nordschleife in LFS is something of a pipe dream, it's long, narrow and bumpy as hell, and in real life Formula one cars and their ilk are never tested there because their suspension would more than likely break inside one lap. It's heavily used for testing and public driving, has been modified many times since it was completed in 1927, and simply isn't suitable for racing in stiff fast cars.

The GTR cars of LFS could probably just about handle it but the new BMW F1 and the V8 almost certainly wouldn't have the ground clearance to get round an accurately modelled track. I think you'd be better off wishing for the Bathurst Track in Australia or the Spa GP circuit if you want a real driver's track.

makes interesting reading if you like a little history.

It's a 1 pixel thick sheet which carries the carbon texture, which appears to be part of the DDS file, if you edit the dds and it still doesn't go away then it probably is a problem with the model...pointing it out now whilst the devs still have 3 days to fix it is a good idea

I was in the same session as both Avih and Becky Rose last night and do recall that avih although quick was not as quick as a coupla other drivers 1 or 2 of whom were well inside 1:16 at FE Gold in a Fox. However he was the only one I noticed who had a blue flag keybind.

I am one of those slower racers, I don't have the time or to be quite honest the inclination to spend hours and hours tweaking setups worrying about 0.1 percentage fuel loads and whether or not my line into a corner is 1m left or right of where it should have been for the perfect lap. However on occasion I like to have a game online, and why not? I've paid for my license just like everyone else. I can appreciate it's frustrating for you to be much faster than me, I do watch my mirrors [except for one occasion when I rejoined right in front of Becky and got tagged which I apologise for] I will get out of another's way if they're obviously much quicker than me. That said the racers who have a "get out my way noob" attitude with their horns and blue flag messages [note I'm not getting at anyone in particular here but just bashing that mentality] annoy and frustrate me, and tbh there are some servers and some combos I won't race on because I know I'm gonna spend all my time watching my mirrors and worrying about people coming up behind me. That makes me more likely to crash and even if I don't then it stops me having the fun that I clicked "multiplayer" to have.

My point is everyone online has a license :- it's cost them money to be there and they have just as much right to play as anyone else. If they're slower than you deal with it or start paying for a server yourself and only let fast people on it.
