Is it possible to get new motors for G25? I've already got a replacement G25 through the door, and I was told I could keep the old G25 (well dispose of it), obviously I am not doing.
The thing that has died in it is one of the motors, so it still runs reasonably well, infact the FFB is still more powerful than the xbox360 wheel. :S
But yea, if I can get a replacement motor, I would be happy
I've got it. Its basically UT2004 with a slightly different style (reminds me of gears of war, there's probably a good reason for that though). Same weapons, movement etc...if you've never played UT before, you'll love it.
By all means, definitely worth the £8.50something that its on offer for ATM.
P.S
Red Orchestra is realllyyyy cheap on Steam at the moment, and its worth every penny!
Yea, I would also remove your old ram and use the 2gb. You'll notice things loads quicker, doubtful of a reasonable fps increase really but you might be surprised.
LFS is strongly CPU, I know this for my current situation, my graphics are on max, and even when they are on really low the fps is the same. My cpu is similar to yours though, amd 4200+ (2X 2.2Ghz). I got a massive increase in fps when I oced my CPU to 2.8Ghz, which its currently running at stable and low temps
Looks are just the first attraction, and if you've had a bad experience or 2 with girlfriends in the past as I have then you look at things differently. Put simply even those bursting with personality can be somewhat of an untrustworthy person which will cheat come some materialistic qualities in some other guy. Women can be very shallow too you know. Nevermind my rambling though.
For me right now, going for girls with looks initially, has only landed me in trouble and heartbreak. I'm not saying I'll go for girls that I don't find attractive, but I certain think personality is key.
The one thing I am awaiting is maybe the Arena mode, which I think is awesome, to be added new clan features (atm you can't pick your team, its random and switches you about)
I don't think they'll do the console updates progressively like they are with the PC. You'll probably get it when all the classes have unlocks, which at current there is the sniper, demoman, engineer, spy and soldier to go. As it stands there we're only just getting halfway, having the medic, pyro, heavy and the scout. I could be wrong though.
Its probably going to be EA's decision at the end of the day since they published the game for consoles.
Updating TF2 now, I never really played the Scout so should be interesting
I'm not really conscious of what I look like with glasses on, or bothered about the inconvenience, but I play 5 a-side football and pool/snooker so I think getting contacts for at least them activities would be more useful than the glasses, however I've never researched them at all. I presume you either choose the 1-day ones, or the ones that last 2 weeks (with cleaning solution) and get a set according to your perscription. Since I would only use them for sports/games, I guess the ones that can be cleaned and re-used would be better.
I got to that point 2 years ago, then it started annoying me so I went to the opticians. The main reason (I think) was too much time on the computer, I used to be on the computer at college/uni then I would come home and play games. It was a mix of my eyes being tired/irritated as I was on the old CRT monitors at Burnley College and always being focused on something not that far away (CRT monitors 'blink', you might not see it but your brain does so you don't blink as much when using one; causing dry eyes). In my current situation they haven't got noticeably worse for the past year, but I now appreciate the visibility my glasses have given me.
I went to the opticians last Teusday, had a check-up and finally after 2 years they have decided I needed a pair (short-sighted, -1/-1) as I've been pestering him for some really, but he's been holding them off to make sure it wasn't just a temporary thing.
Now I agreed to my optician that I would only use them for things such as driving, the cinema/TV etc, as he explained if you wear them all the time, your eyes become adjusted to the lenses and in turn become much shortsighted than they are now. The thing is I've been practically wearing them whenever I am not at the computer or reading, whereas I obviously said I wouldn't.
My question is, if any of you out there have got glasses for distance and you don't necessary need to wear them all the time, do you find you do anyway?
Rfactor is fun, but crappy online. The physics aren't as well taught and responsive as LFS, but the real cars and tracks make up for it. LFS to me is way better. Having said that I think the open wheelers in rfactor are damn fun.
The reason it is rubbish online is because there are so many mods, so many tracks...that its hard to find a server you can actually play on without having to google find the car and track first.
It took me ages to find the F1RFT mod, which I find is the most popular online mod currently for rfactor, but the usual mod sharing sites have taken it down due to copyright breach.
