The DBR9 is teh sechs. I love it how it kicks out the tail in 3rd gear.

Oh and laughed my ass off earlier tonight when we had some private races. Flipping and wrecking Land Rovers on the Le Mans classic and wrecking two Veyron's in the same corner at the same time after the first long straight.

Success! Installing the game disc 1 on HD makes the bowxxy much much more quiet and load times have reduced to bearable levels. Yay!

Oooh and my white 'n purdy M3 E46 with race suspension and anorectic weight loss program is nice.

Sooo... 300 € spent and the Elite and Forza is sitting behind the monitor. Good Lord the Xbox is one noisy bastard and load times are insanely long! My new yellow S2000 with race suspension and race weight stripping eases the pain a bit.

I lub that car shot but not sure if the style suits the car in question. Also, anyone else bothered by the wobbly light edges? Easy to fix 'em in post. That was a boom shot, right?

EDIT: Nevermind, saw the boom in the earlier shot.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Some selected shots from that day:

The weather wasn't 100% cooperative and I was sort of learning as I went w/r/t architectural photography, but it was fun, I got paid, and the designers liked the photos. So I guess it's fine.

Excellent stuff but... wait... you complain about the weather while you have that kind of scenery around?

You should come here to to shoot - no light and year-round snowy slush. They even import solar panels fully recharged to here so we could use them as batteries.

Quote from IlGuercio :If you said "I shot this pic at 12800 iso" back in the film era people would have just laughed at you
Spank,i don't really like them, perhaps you are right when you say you were uninspired

12800 just ISO 1600 pushed 3 stops and on film it would probably look much cooler!

And thanks for the honest feedback too!

Quote from Spangler_CZE :Few photos from Citroen Racing Day with M. Prokop and S. Ogier in C2 R2 Max. The drive (before Ive made these photos) on a wet tarmac was awesome! http://spangler.cz/photos/citroen_racing_days/

I'd love to try out som' of dat sweet rally phootage some day but we only got lame track days with slow-ass Beemers cruising around.

Oh well, more live music from last Saturday from a small corner club. I was emotionally and physically spent from the shoot earlier Sat morning so these aren't my best work but it's just more lessons learned again.

ISO 12800, 85mm @ f1.8.

Ok, so dudes, give me a recap. I thought console gaming was supposed to be easy but all this crap about DLC-not-available-for-you-buddy-ha-ha-ha and different localisations with pre-purchase bonuses is just laughable.

Say I'm interested in shelling out the cash for Forza3 and Xbox360.

I purchase the Xbox360 Elite version, regular Forza3 and get Gold membership for Live and I get full access to all downloadable crap and the 'ring and the E30 and the sorts.

Shot a show in a small punk club at Tampere. Unfortunately the crowd was small so no good headbanging action at that evening.

ISO 12800...

Quote from Toddshooter :Depends how many photos you edit in a month. If you are only doing a few then it might not be needed. But if you are editing hundreds like some of us in this thread it is the biggest time saver EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is also the best organizer and Raw editor I have found.

The point was that if the program gets used on a regular basis perhaps he should just cough up the money for it.

Quote from mcintyrej :To be brutally honest, lightroom is pants!

I tried it out for a while and it was just an arse to setup to my liking, and I couldn't really get as good results as I could from the good old photoshop.

If we are discussing RAW conversion quality, the Photoshop/Bridge uses the exact same ACR conversion engine than Lightroom. So you get identical results in the conversion phase. Where you go from that point is up to you. Besides LR isn't meant to replace Photoshop but instead fill the gaps in the Adobe-centered workflow where PS and Bridge can't do well.

Quote from mrodgers :I got lucky!

Hard drive crashed, then Wifey broke Windows and the computer won't boot. I was able to move all my photos off the drive onto the Windows drive before it all went completely kaput. I was able to boot to Ubuntu running off a CD, grabbed a 500 gig external drive, and get everything on C: saved to the external so I can reformat and restore Windows (OEM install, no stinkin CD to repair it with.

Unfortunately, I still had all my edited photos, many of them edited for personal use on screensavers and such, plus I had a "sort" folder that wasn't completely empty yet that I lost. I'm still trying to get the hard drive recognized on boot up one more time, but I think it's a lost cause. Maybe it will be there once more after I get windows reloaded.

But at least I didn't lose the 30 gig of originals nor did I lose my Lightroom database. Though, I did lose the program Lightroom (shhhh, I won't tell why I lost it and can't just reinstall from the CD... )

+ Pile of bare hard disks

Best cheap-ass backup system available. (Get the eSATA version for faster transfers)

And dude, just buy Lightroom. Sheesh.

Quote from Alex_Ward :I didnt wanna make a new thread about this, but is there a software which displays information about the image like aperture, shutter speed, etc when I open the picture? So I dont have to keep looking at my camera to find out? I was wondering whether the image file would hold this information, after being uploaded to the PC or not.

ACDSee with EXIF plugin works ok and iz free.

However it's not unusual for the photographer to strip the EXIF info during uploading.
