I use Seinnheisser PX200's!

They are cheap at just a shade under £40 GBP... They may not be the most comfortable but they do for me!

Quote from -jester- :Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I did to a quick search and found nothing.

It would be nice to have the ability to be able to send and receive setups while in the occnection screen, instead of having to start a race, send setup, pit (to change to new setup), rejoin and restart race.

Just add another button on the Kick/Ban line next to the player's name on the connection screen.

But normally, you would want the setup after you see it in action so... illepall

Quote from Becky Rose :Unfortunately acquiring an after market stereo system can only be done if your fashion ideals involve wearing a hood. The unit has to be stolen, and it can only play rap, techno and hip hop music. Such after market units can only fit into a Vauxhall Nova with double sized exhaust pipe, with neon undertray lights as an optional extra.

None of these things describe myself, but my factory fitted Saab unit can go louder than is comfortable and the quality is fine.

So true... But yet, when you go above that with custom fits... It's so not!!
How many of you actually own a sound system?

Yes... Another of those threads from me... I must have lots of questions and i need answers!

What i mean by a car sound system is eithe an aftermarket one or one of the premium ones (like the Harman Kardon in the BMW and the BOSE in the Audi)

I personally don't drive so i don't have and my parents have standard ones...

Which ones do you/your parents have??

Please also give the details of it!

Quote from uttoro :Mine are the LX brothers, the 4 is really fun to drive since patch u. The 6 is the agressive one, but has really good handling, and he always has the power you need, you dont have to wait for sloppy late '80-s turbo.

It's nice that you refer to them as human beings... And it's also nice for them to be "him's" not "her's" lol

Quote from axus :Oh noes... again?

Anyway, for the sake of spamming the forum:

It has changed so many times... it used to be the XF GTi in S1 for its close racing and relative ease of keeping control, yet difficulty in getting really really close to a world record.

The in S2 I bacame a sucker for fast, RWD tin-tops... especially light ones, meaning LX4, LX6 and Raceabout. I never liked race cars prior to the latest patch, and the fast road cars delivered the most shattering experience.

And now, you ask? Hmmm... very very tough call. The patch has made all the cars soooo good that it is unbelievable that they are all using the same physics and all work so well. XF GTi is still a great drive and makes for close racing, UF1000 also. The FXO requires smooth driving and handles beautifully. The LX4 is still nice but now the LX6 has the grip to be driven nicely and is a spectacular drive. The race cars now feel way way better than before. The XF GTR and UF GTR are both great drives and very well matched. The FXO GTR, FZ50 GTR and FXO GTR all feel amazing. The Formula XR is easy to drive and race closely. The Formula V8 feels like an early 90's GP car and is great to drive technically. The BMW Sauber has been a spectacular addition to the game. Its easy to drive... until you realise how far off the pace you are. It requires concentration, commitment and balls to drive fast and I enjoy it a lot. That about sums up how I feel about the LFS cars - I love them all (except the MRT - although I haven't driven it much in the patch) and every one of them has something about it that makes it great to drive. Keep up the great work, devs !

Well... This didn't answer my question but it's nice to get some info. about what you think of the cars lol

Quote from Pellick :Or just imagine if it was possible to have every track being synchronized with their respective timezones, as the LFS tracks are located all over the world.
Ex: If you are playing on the daytime in Europe and you join a server running on Fern Bay (Jamaica) the race would be at night because it would be nightime in Jamaica IRL Anyone following?

Or the host could just choose which conditions they want the race to be in... But i do like what you're getting at!

Quote from Batterypark :Probably FOX as well.. sharp handling and not an excessive amount of power. I'd like similar car with no downforce though.

Can you not just take the downforce away or do you mean you would like the car to fly with no downforce as standard? Lol
What's your favourite car in LFS?

What's your favourite car in LFS? Mine is XFR!

And the reason why, otherwise this thread would be pointless!

Oh yeah... I like the XFR because it's so nimble and you can just throw it around... It reminds me of a slowed-down version of a Renault 5 GT Turbo

Quote from Mazz4200 :Actually, thats not entirely true. Brooklands was the first oval built with banked turns (1907). The first Oval race was in 1896 at the Rhode Island State Fair.
"Oval track racing began at about the same time as professional sports, when promotors found that the public would pay to see sporting events, a situation that offered promotors a chance to make a buck or two. Oval racing soon became a professional sport." (quote) "Vintage Oval Racing" by Don Stauffer

Not that i'm the least bit bothered when or where, (or indeed, getting into an argument about it )

Still, it's a shame when old tracks with so much history and charisma such as Brooklands, ends up like this:-

Isn't Google Earth just great!!

Quote from george_tsiros :Yeah, created quite a stir back in '98. Amazing game. won many game-of-the-year awards. Some publications (on and off-line) went so far as to name it 'best game of all time'.

That's all great but why compare Half-Life and LFS???
