That's the genious system of avoiding pedestrian collision law suits... you run over a guy, he falls on your bonnet, turbine burns him into ashes... "there never was a pedestrian on my bonnet, officer"
it's not his IRL movie. As far as copying it goes - the real vid has better camerawork than the LFS copy. This quite an "achievement" for a person using camera controls that allow you much more than a real life camera crew
just watched Battle Royale...
I loved it - Japanese schoolgirls, shooting automatic weaponry and people getting killed... all my 3 fetishes combined! ehm... I meant a very gruesome film that makes you think "Is this all necessary?"
P.S: Love the Beast is also quite a good watch. Thoroughly enjoyed that
still no idea of what kind of avi you are exporting, compressed or not, and which codecs you're using to render, or how much space your HDD has left to use...
Try rendering a smaller video though, if it works - then it's probably the HDD space you're lacking
I think that something like this (maybe 10 second or 15 second time limits from time to time) should be our version of LFS photomode competition, with voting and everything
at first I thought it was quite a stupid idea of making it just 5 seconds, but then I actually got the point that that IS the challenge, not just a criteria... I will try to come up with something later...
1st movie
How did you manage to copy EVERYTHING from an amateur vid with a rather weak camerawork, and come up with weaker camerawork, is beyond me. Also FPS is low, and the entertainment value is less than that of spectating on a racing server.
2nd video
It shows
The video is a must watch due to the epic method of removing the server messages from the replay.
I WOULD make a detailed review into a poem like I sometimes do, but I'd rather not spend more time commenting that you did making the movie
If you aren't running 4 gigs of ram you don't need Vista or anything. Go for XP and follow the FPS raising tips in the first post, I think with all the contribution to my original tutorial it covers every method possible.
