Well... damn... if you look at it that way, I mean, giving it a sense of purpose probably works better than just editing and flashy effects. Maybe you're right
Totally untrue, if im honest. If you'd do good editing, with syncing, and good camerawork, and effects, a proper lap would look stunningly good, even in hotlapping mode. Proof? In my movie H2H vol:5, the point to which everyone returns and watches a few times over is Nolan Scott hotlapping the cars (info - Youtube insight)
Not enough camera smoothing
Car goes though camera
No logical beginning of the movie, it just starts as if I started watching it from the middle.
at one point we see the car going wide and into the grass... TWICE, from same angle.
If you're going to overlay engine sounds in a movie - overlay at least more than once
There is also no real ending to the movie. It just fades to black
Well, it's not like they rebuilt it from ground up, which WOULD result in a worse car, they've just improved it a bit.
Judging by the performance figures, I'd say it should definetly be better than the original
Not a fan though
Today is 4th september 2009
I didn't know that mid February 2009 was 1.5 years ago...
and knowing Rockstar usual plan - to release the PC version half a year later (all previous GTA titles), I think I still can safely have legal and unbeatable hope on it being BS for some small amount of time...
oh, damn it... Im starting to believe that this time Rockstar regular BS about "console exclusive" is actually console exclusive...
Still a faint hope lives somewhere inside of me of seing some of that content for PC...
Intel core 2 quad Q9550 2.83 GHZ FSB1333 12 MB
Corsair 4 GB DDR3 1333 CL9
Asus P5q3
GeForce GTX 275 896 MB, 448 bit
WD 500GB (I got over a TB of external HDDs, didn't need a big HDD inside)
Runs stuff normally, still thinking of upgrading after next payday
Advice - make movies NOT when you don't know what to do... but when you want to make a good movie. This is just a pointless scene that we could have easily done without. I'd rather watch a SPR of you driving forwards
That's the problem with all Pixelcar RPGs. You buy a bunch of stuff, you do the maths, you remove a sum of money, do the maths, edit your sig to have proper money count there, go to profile, post all upgrades in the car's profile, change the stats, you're done... unless it's your sig car, in which case you need to edit your sig for the stats of teh car there, and if it involved visual tuning - upload the pic, put the link in the profile, and change the one in the sig...Every single Pixelcar RPG needs you to do that, really annoying tbh
You're useless at racing and rubbish at making videos...
well... that's not actually true. The video was nice, but nothing special that would catch my eye. The extra 1 minute of blackness has just earned you 30 days in solitary confinement.
Allright, here's my thought on how it should have been done
Now... detailed analysis
1. A seasoned video creator, as a host, will know what is hard to pull off while creating a video, and will set the task "just right" without making the contestants jumping through rings of fire over a shark pit, just to get all the necessary stuff for the task at hand.
2. A seasoned video creator, as a host, will know how much time will estimately be needed to create a video, of such complexity and will set a realistic deadline.
Best reason not to have this done at all ever : A video creator will only create the best video he can WHEN HE'S DOING SOMETHING HE IMAGINED HIMSELF, WITH HIS OWN IDEA, not when he's required to do something for someone
